Hermitage Enterprises employs over 100 individuals with developmental disabilities. We have a smaller worksite in Charles City County called Cypress Enterprises.

Yesterday Hermitage, Cypress and all of Henrico Area Mental Health and Developmental Services bid farewell to our manager of 34 years as she begins her next journey into retirement. Shirley Lyons had been a fierce advocate for us over the years. Her leadership has brought us from a bustling workshop to a top tier day program where people are able to lead productive and meaningful lives. Thank you Shirley for leading us through countless changes with the goal of providing the very best services to some of the very best people in Henrico, Charles City and New Kent Counties. We hope you visit us in between your travels!

A HUGE congratulations is needed for our manager, Shirley Lyons, who was honored at the board of supervisors work session this afternoon. The county manager introduced her with heartfelt gratitude for her many years of service and for her many accomplishments over her tenure managing Hermitage and Cypress Enterprises.

Today Pod 2 held a play - based on Cinderella. It was delightful!!!! Thanks to all the families who came.

Today we honor the 27th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s landmark ruling in Olmstead v.
