Stop treating Tuesday like the ugly stepchild of the workweek! If your life currently feels like a relentless doom-scroll, we have the cure. Phygital Nights (that's Fij-Jit-uhl, for those in the back) is storming Leap-N-Lizards this Tuesday, June 2nd, to aggressively inject some joy into your sad, sad routine.
The beautiful chaos ignites at 8:00 PM sharp with a live recording of the "Bad Breaks with Buster Chestnut" podcast. Grab a drink and be the unhinged background laughter that fuels our fragile egos.
After the pod, we are unleashing a stand-up showcase so stacked it should be illegal:
Opener: Josh Ostroff Known as the East Coast Invader, Ostroff is straight out of Long Island. He brings a fast-paced, highly articulate, and assertive energy that perfectly clashes with polite Midwestern passive-aggressiveness. Whether he's bridging the gap at collegiate showcases for Ohio State or thriving in late-night, professional club environments like the Hashtag Comedy Club, his highly adaptable style handles it all.
Feature: Tess Trinoskey Trinoskey is an absolute master of the avant-garde who specializes in experimental performance formats. She expertly blurs the lines between internet culture and live theatrical engagement to bring audiences undeniable "chaotic-good energy". Amazingly, she also possesses a competitive background in agricultural exhibition and equestrian sports, and happily enjoys the moniker of "Farmer Tess." She knows that commanding a massive, 1,000-pound animal requires the exact same psychological resilience as wrangling an unpredictable comedy audience.
Headliner: Ricky McCoy McCoy is the quintessential grassroots, blue-collar grinder of the Columbus comedy scene. He forged his relentless, battle-tested act in the unforgiving crucible of the Donatos Basement. Outside of comedy, he is an avid video gamer, and he approaches stand-up with that exact same mentality. To McCoy, bombing on stage is never a failure; it's just a temporary "Game Over" screen before he hits continue, respawns, and grinds for more laughs with unbreakable grit.
CALLING ALL ATTENTION WH**ES Think you can do better than the pros? Prove it. The open mic portion is currently doubling as our cutthroat "Road to Lizard-Palooza" stand-up competition!
The stakes: The winner of tonight's open mic doesn't just get a fleeting rush of dopamine. You'll snag a $25 Leap-N-Lizards gift card (massive shoutout to our patron saint and executive producer, Steve Marak) AND an exclusive golden ticket (*note, golden ticket is a white gift card and NOT in-fact GOLD in anyway. Also you need to be IN THE BAR at voting time in order to qualify) to the Road to Lizard-Palooza Finals on June 16th.
Win the finals? You’ll secure a $100 gift card and a 5-10 minute PAID comedy set during the mythical Lizard-Palooza festival (June 19-21). That's actual money for your trauma-dumping. Don't blow it.
Pro Comics: If you already have your tight five polished and don't need to bleed in the open mic trenches, slide into our DMs to inquire about booking professional sets during the Lizard-Palooza weekend.
See you Tuesday. Bring a friend, buy a drink, and let's get weird.
