Information can be one of the most valuable tools on the fireline.

Equipped with a Trillium HD80 payload, Overwatch’s aircraft supported operations on Oregon’s Wrights Spring Fire by providing infrared imagery, fire mapping and real-time aerial intelligence. This gave incident personnel greater visibility into changing conditions while helping reduce exposure to hazardous environments.

The mission was part of the U.S. Wildland Fire Service’s first Type 1 UAS exclusive-use contract.

We’re proud to see Trillium technology supporting the crews working to protect communities from wildfires.

Recent U.S. Army research on human-machine teaming highlights the importance of real-time communication, edge-based processing, and information sharing across autonomous systems and operators.

We’ve seen this already move from concept to operation. During Taiwan’s first manned-unmanned teaming exercise, Trillium’s HD80 aboard an Aerosonde® UAS helped identify, track, and engage simulated maritime targets alongside a crewed helicopter.

Human-machine teaming is strongest when both work as one, reducing cognitive load and expanding situational awareness.

Long-Range Reconnaissance asks more of every payload.

Trillium’s gimbal portfolio offers EO/IR and multispectral configurations with onboard tracking, geolocation, and available laser pointer, rangefinder, and designator options. Select systems are built to integrate NyxCore-C, supporting embedded ATR workflows for object detection, identification, classification, and persistent tracking at the edge.

GPS cannot always be trusted. Navigation still needs to work.

At Jammertest 2026 in Norway, the Trillium Labs team completed 34 hours of testing using a setup that included the HD45-LV-CZ gimbal. Under live jamming, spoofing and meaconing, Trillium’s GD Nav technology generated position and timing solutions and demonstrated navigation solution support for GD-Loc CAT 1 targeting.

Moving advanced technology from concept to operational capability requires more than proving that it works in isolation. It must be developed and evaluated alongside the hardware, software and systems it is intended to support, with a clear understanding of the mission requirement it is designed to address.

That approach is central to Trillium Labs. By working alongside Trillium's Production and Engineering teams, Labs can develop, integrate, test and demonstrate advanced concepts before transitioning proven technologies into existing products, new capabilities or customer-specific integrations.

NyxCore-C and NyxCore-D are now available, bringing Trillium’s sensor-integrated AI to two distinct mission needs.

- NyxCore-C supports overland detection, classification, and persistent tracking of vehicles and people.
- NyxCore-D supports wide-area maritime search, helping operators detect and track objects that can be difficult to spot at range.

The next generation of EO/IR capability will require more than improvements in imaging performance. Advanced processing, onboard intelligence, resilient geolocation, tracking and tighter integration with unmanned platforms are expanding what imaging systems can contribute to the mission.

Trillium Labs is focused on that evolution. The advanced concepts group develops and proves new technologies while also applying new approaches to established mission requirements where traditional methods fall short.

That work has contributed to capabilities including NyxCore, GD-Loc, Clarity-HD, and advanced image processing, with continued development focused on the requirements ahead.
