🚀 Building a Resilient, Vertically Integrated US Solar Supply Chain

In a recent interview with The Energy Year, our Chairman and Founder, Jun Zhuge, shared how SEG Solar is driving domestic capacity and advancing our PV manufacturing strategy:

🔹 End-to-End Supply Chain Control: By pairing our US module manufacturing with fully-owned, traceable cell, wafer, and ingot operations, we guarantee continuous cell supply without relying on foreign entities of concern (FEOC)—meeting strict non-FEOC compliance under the OBBBA and providing total supply chain transparency.

🔹 Texas Manufacturing Roadmap: We are scaling rapidly toward 10.6 GW of module manufacturing capacity across three Texas plants by 2027, including our 4GW Tomball #1 facility and the upcoming 4.6GW Tomball #2 plant. We are also evaluating plans for a 2GW US solar cell facility in Houston for 2028, followed by ingot and wafer production over the next five years.

🔹 Next-Gen HJT & Smart Automation: Leveraging advanced ABB robotics and Heterojunction (HJT) technology, our 24/7 automated production lines deliver high efficiency while significantly reducing environmental impact. HJT manufacturing uses ~30% less water and consumes significantly less power per MW compared to conventional TOPCon.

🔹 Powering Big Tech & Data Center Growth: As electricity demand surges from AI and data centers, SEG Solar is actively delivering utility-scale projects—including recent 160 MW and 220 MW deployments for hyperscale partners in Oregon, a 460 MW project north of Texas, and integrated battery storage solutions.

More Than a Factory Opening. A Story of Growth, Ex*****on, and Vision.

When people talk about American solar manufacturing, it's easy to focus on announcements, plans, and projections.

What truly matters is ex*****on.

This video captures a milestone that reflects years of dedication, collaboration, and relentless effort from the entire SEG Solar team. From commissioning equipment and building production capacity to creating high-quality jobs and expanding domestic manufacturing, every achievement represents real work turned into real results.

As longtime industry partner NICO JOHNSON of SunCast Media shared after attending our Factory II Grand Opening, "It's easy to announce a factory. It's a lot harder to actually build, staff, and get product rolling off the line." SEG has now done it twice.

From our first U.S. manufacturing facility to the opening of our second, we've continued to push forward with one goal in mind: strengthening America's solar supply chain while delivering reliable, high-quality products to our customers.

We're grateful to our employees, customers, partners, local communities, and stakeholders who have been part of this journey.
