This one feels especially close to my heart.

To every nurse who came here with a dream, started over, worked the long shifts, missed home, helped support family and slowly built a life of their own, I SEE YOU.

For so many of us, nursing was one of the biggest dreams we grew up seeing. And Iā€™m so proud that today, I get to see nurses becoming so much more too. Creators. Founders. Business owners. Leaders. Dreamers. Builders.

Nursing can be something weā€™re deeply proud of without being the only dream weā€™re allowed to have.

And maybe thatā€™s one of my favorite parts of being Filipino American: building something new here while still carrying so much of home with us.

The food. The family. The noise. The values. The sacrifices. The stories that brought us here.

Iā€™m Lei, a cardiac bedside nurse of 14 years, a mom, and co-founder of NurseStrong.

Our story started when I switched to day shift and realized how much I needed comfortable compression socks through a full 12-hour shift. After trying pairs I couldnā€™t wait to take off, my husband and I started asking: what would we do differently if we made them with nurses in mind?

That question became NurseStrong.

Built from my own experience at the bedside, with so much thought behind every detail.

Iā€™ll be sharing more about how we made our socks, the choices behind them, and what itā€™s been like building NurseStrong together.
