Need a clearer picture of what is actually happening below the surface? Meet Nick Harland at WEFTEC 2026.

As Drylet’s Sonar Operations Manager, Nick leads sonar mapping services for industrial waste lagoons, municipal wastewater plants, animal waste lagoons, and other bodies of water.

He also brings a decade of experience in manure pumping and application—giving him practical knowledge of the conditions, equipment, and operational realities surrounding lagoon-based systems.

That combination of mapping expertise and field experience makes Nick a valuable person to meet for engineering firms, distributors, manufacturers, and technology partners interested in lagoon assessment, project planning, or how sonar data can support better-informed decisions.

If your work involves wastewater lagoons, residuals management, agricultural waste systems, or projects where conditions below the surface matter, stop by Booth #8555 and talk with Nick.

"We've tried bacteria before... it didn't work."

It's one of the most common things we hear from wastewater operators.
In Inside Drylet Episode 42, we explain why not all biological products perform the same. Success depends on much more than simply adding bacteria—it depends on getting the right bacteria to the right place, protecting them from harsh conditions, and giving them the opportunity to establish and multiply.

Understanding the science behind biological treatment can help separate proven solutions from disappointing past experiences.

Exploring environmental partnerships in Europe or other international markets? Meet Darko Lojen at WEFTEC 2026.

As Drylet’s Director of EMEA Operations, Darko brings more than 20 years of experience spanning public policy and governance, international development, agribusiness, food processing, and government-business relations.

His career has placed him at the center of complex international collaboration. Before joining Drylet, Darko held senior government positions, including serving as a Special Advisor in Serbia’s Prime Minister’s Office. During more than a decade with the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, he also developed and managed technical-assistance initiatives involving food safety, animal health, renewable energy, international trade, and the harmonization of European standards.

That background makes Darko a valuable connection for distributors, manufacturers, engineering firms, and technology partners interested in building relationships across international markets where technical, commercial, and policy considerations often intersect.

If your organization is exploring opportunities in Europe or looking for the right partnerships to help environmental solutions cross borders, Darko would welcome the conversation.

Solids carryover is often a symptom—not the root problem.

Poor settling, hydraulic overload, sludge blanket disturbances, or biological imbalances can allow solids to leave the clarifier with the effluent.

Finding the underlying cause helps restore reliable treatment performance.

At an East Texas crude oil storage facility, contaminated soil needed to be addressed without excavating around active storage tanks.

The initial TPH concentration was approximately 58,500 ppm. After 28 days of in-situ biological treatment, it had declined to just over 9,000 ppm—an 85% reduction.

See how the treatment was applied and how results were measured:

Fat, oil, and grease (FOG) can build up into thick fat caps that reduce lagoon capacity, create odors, and interfere with treatment performance.

In Inside Drylet Episode 41, we discuss how biological treatment can be used to target these massive fat cap accumulations. By delivering beneficial bacteria directly where they're needed, Drylet helps accelerate the breakdown of organic FOG and sludge without relying on harsh chemicals or mechanical removal alone.

Every lagoon is different, but understanding the biology behind fat cap reduction is the first step toward restoring treatment capacity.

Want to understand biological wastewater treatment from the lab to the field? Meet Annam Husain at WEFTEC 2026.

As Drylet’s Director of Operations, Annam brings a perspective that spans product research and development, data analysis, customer sites, project management, and customer relationships.

Annam joined Drylet in 2017 as Laboratory Manager, where she developed an in-depth understanding of the company’s technology through hands-on research and development. Her work collecting and analyzing field data also took her to customer sites across the United States, giving her firsthand insight into the demands of real-world bioremediation projects.

That combination of scientific knowledge, field experience, and operational leadership makes Annam an especially valuable person to meet if you are a distributor, manufacturer, engineering firm, or technology partner interested in how biological solutions move from technical potential to practical implementation.
