Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage of the first responders who ran toward danger to help others.

At United Energy Workers Healthcare, we are inspired by the spirit of service, sacrifice, and resilience that continues to unite our communities. As we reflect on this day, we extend our gratitude to those who serve and protect others every day.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Behind every White Card is a caregiver who shows up, week after week, for someone they've come to call family. This week we're grateful for the nurses and aides who bring whole-person care straight to our patients' front doors across Idaho Falls. Know an energy worker who needs support like this? Call (888) 801-5403.

To our neighbors across North Idaho and Eastern Washington โ€” weโ€™re holding you close in our hearts as these wildfires continue to impact so many lives.

In moments like this, even the smallest support can mean everything a safe place to sleep, a warm meal, a phone charger, a shower, or simply knowing where to turn next. If you or someone you love needs help, these resources are available right now:

**SHELTER**
Spokane Convention Center (334 W Spokane Falls Blvd) is serving as the primary Red Cross shelter and is open 24/7 with free parking and pets welcome. Spokane Falls Community College and Northwood Middle School are also open as evacuation centers. Spokane County Fair and Expo Center (404 N Havana St) is sheltering evacuated animals.

**FOOD, CHARGING, AND SUPPORT**
The Red Cross is providing hot meals, phone charging, and emotional support at all shelters. No overnight stay or ID is required. Call 1-800-RED-CROSS or (509) 783-6195.

**SHOWERS AND RESPITE**
YMCA of the Inland Northwest โ€” North, South, Valley, and Central locations โ€” is offering free showers Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Photo ID required.

**VETERANS AND MEDICAL**
Spokane County Office of Veterans Services โ€” (509) 477-3690.

**FINANCIAL HELP**
The City of Spokane has launched the H.O.M.E. Starts Here Fund for wildfire relief. The Red Cross also has a dedicated donation fund for Washington wildfire victims.

**STAY UPDATED**
Follow Spokane County Emergency Management and Washington DNR () for the latest evacuation maps and containment updates.

Please share this with anyone who may need it. These resources are open to everyone affected โ€” not just Spokane residents. Whether youโ€™re in North Idaho or Eastern Washington, help is here, and you do not have to face this alone.

Stay safe. Weโ€™re thinking of you. ๐Ÿ’™
