This week, we lost our best boy, Joe. 🐾
Joe was our Labrador, but he was so much more than a dog. He was family. He was a fixture at Lawn Pride; our mascot, our unofficial greeter, and if you ever visited our office, chances are he left an impression.
Joe loved coming to work every day. If he thought we were leaving him behind, he'd let us know exactly how unhappy he was. He just wanted to be where his people were.
If you knew Joe, you knew there was one thing he loved more than anything: playing ball. He'd chase a tennis ball until your arm gave out long before he was ready to quit. And he was convinced he was a lap dog, never mind that he weighed nearly 100 pounds.
This year, Joe became part of our marketing campaign as a cartoon character. It felt fitting, since he'd already become such a big part of the Lawn Pride brand. Franchise owners asked about him. Team members looked forward to seeing him.
Like most great dogs, he had his quirks. Every single time he came back from the groomer looking clean and handsome, he'd make a beeline for the pond behind the office. Fresh bath or not, that pond was always calling his name.
The office feels a little quieter now. We'll miss seeing him stretched out on the floor, hearing him bark at the door, and the way he magically appeared whenever a treat bag crinkled.
For nine years, Joe brought laughter, love, loyalty, and just the right amount of chaos to our family and to everyone at Lawn Pride. We were fortunate to have him, and we'll be telling Joe stories for a long time to come.
Thank you for being such a good boy, Joe. You'll always be part of our family, and you'll always be part of Lawn Pride. ❤️🐾
Everything communicates, and Joe communicated joy everywhere he went. ❤️
