a business requires more than just hard work and dedication. Our philosophy is based on our own experiences starting and growing companies. Frost Methane founder, Olya Irzak discovered that 20% of climate change was attributed to methane but only 2% of climate finance was distributed to combat this gas. Frost Methane was born as a solution.

Frost Methane partners with livestock farmers to neutralize methane from manure ponds, earning carbon credit revenue, preventing water ingress, and eliminating smells.

“After much research, I found a hole in the ability for medium-sized sources to participate in the carbon market, and where the missing piece was automation – good thing I’m a computer scientist!” Olya Irzak says.

Megan Guturi, M.P.H. '26, and founder of Cerebrush, was a participant in the 2025 Prototyping Hardware Accelerator at Rev: Ithaca Startup Works and shared a recent article about why she built her product.

Partially based on the idea of habit stacking - we naturally pair routine tasks with something engaging. Cerebrush blends dentistry, behavioral science, and design to make preventive care feel less like an obligation and more like a natural part of your day.

Congratulations are in order for Seen Nutrition, Rev: Ithaca Startup Works members, and Grow-NY winners, who recently received the Woman-owned Business of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration Syracuse District Office as part of National Small Business Week 2026.

"No, we couldn’t have built Seen anywhere else. We have access to all these great resources like the mentoring at Rev, the local incubator. They have been super helpful. The resources available at Cornell in food science have been top of the line", said Jennifer Han. "There are spaces like this (Cornell Business and Technology Park, where Seen leases offices) where we can really build, and the environment is supportive for startups. It put us in a state of mind where we’re focusing on Seen Nutrition and there are no distractions."
