Salary: minimum $52k annually paid weekly.
Benefits available: Medical, Dental, Prescription, Eye, Life, S/L disability and more.
Vacation: 4 weeks a year
PTO: 5 days
Uniforms: class B, summer polo’s and sporting event t-shirts, winter jacket, reflective rain poncho, windbreaker, protective vest, taser (x-26), BWC, vest cooling fan, baseball caps, badge, portable radio and more provided.
Typically a M-F day schedule (game nights or weekend events required)
Year round employment! No searching for work during summer.

Requirements:
Heavy background check, driving record, drug screening, psychological, protecting God’s children, ACHA approval and principal interview. Florida D & G security licenses, valid first aid, CPR/AED, stop the bleed.

Toy Drive
The return to school, is a reminder that the holidays are around the corner! Proteus Security Agency is always looking for ways to help bring cheer to the under served and those in need. Help us to make a beautiful Christmas & Holiday season for children of all ages who might not otherwise have a special day. Proteus is sponsoring a toy drive. Please consider purchasing a toy, clothing or school supplies and drop off to our Headquarters at 1570 Lane Avenue S., Jacksonville Fl. 32210. We’re located in the very front of the Grove on Lane apartment community.

Your donation will bring a big smile to those with very little to celebrate. Feel free to include a note or card with your donation and we’ll be sure to keep them together! Unwrapped gifts are the best so we can best sort. We’ll handle the gift wrapping.

Santa will bring your donations to the local churches riding on the back of a security F-150 and a parade of patrol cars with lights and sirens.

Remember that today 8/11/26, the Diocese of St. Augustine schools return and are in session! Carry Christ with you as you navigate the roads and school campuses in the drop off and pick up lines. Be mindful of the 5 mph parking lot speed limits and mostly, have patience! Plan more time. It normalizes in a week! Let’s be the proper Christ-like role model for our young ones!

Last week, our guardians spend 5 days participating in our in-house SSU academy getting additional training above and beyond the state mandated courses. Today, a majority of them hit their schools for the first time. Our School Safety Unit is off and running.

Today ends an incredible week of tactical training on the range; in the classroom and at the schools. It is refreshing to hear from active law enforcement that the training they received through Proteus Training Institute in preparation for their role as School Safety Resource Officers exceeded any training received by their respective Sheriff’s Offices, Police Departments and the Guardian program sponsored by the local sheriff offices.
