This (National Stone Sand & Gravel Association), we’re highlighting how these materials make their way from the ground into the infrastructure that surrounds us and helps us build a stronger future. While the finished project may get most of the attention, aggregates are what laid the foundation.

Before we can build a stronger future, we need to start with the basics! Aggregate is the sand, gravel and crushed stone that serve as the foundation for much of what we use every day. From the roads we drive on to the bridges we cross and the buildings we work in, these essential materials help keep our communities moving and growing.

It’s officially ROCKtober! 🪨 This month, we’re joining National Stone Sand & Gravel Association in highlighting the aggregates industry and the important role it plays in our everyday lives. This year’s theme, “Building a Stronger Future,” is a great reminder of how these materials help build the roads, bridges, buildings and communities we rely on every day.

Follow along this month as we take you through the what, where and why of our industry to help tell the story of where aggregates come from, how they’re used and why they matter! 👏

Such a powerful reminder of the importance of checking in with yourself and your teammates. In an industry where we look out for one another every day, that should extend beyond the jobsite, too.

No one should have to carry the weight alone, and help is always available.

This week is Construction Su***de Prevention Week.

The rate of su***de among construction workers is nearly four times higher than the general population. It’s a hard-hitting statistic that points to an urgent need to focus on the mental health and well-being of those in our industry.

This is the reality many in construction are facing. Long hours. Time away from home. Physically demanding work. Pressure to keep moving. And sometimes, it can be hard to say, “I’m not okay.”

Looking out for one another goes beyond the jobsite. It means checking in with the person beside us, listening when someone needs to talk, and making sure our teammates know they don’t have to face difficult times alone.

A simple “How are you doing?” can be the start of an important conversation. Let’s look out for one another, this week and every week.

May we never forget the tragedy that struck our nation 25 years ago.

Today, our hearts are with the families of the nearly 3,000 lives lost, and with the brave men and women who came forward to help and support their fellow Americans.

Twenty-five years later, September 11, 2001, remains a day etched into the history of our nation.

We honor the lives lost and the courage shown in the face of tragedy. We remember the families and communities forever impacted and pay tribute to all who answered the call to serve, protect, comfort, and help others. Their courage, compassion, and sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

Our annual Safety Stand Down serves as an important reminder that, no matter the project, the deadline or the demands of the job, nothing matters more than making it home safely each day.

Safety is more than a priority. It’s a commitment we make to one another every day.

At the end of the day, our loyal customers are a big part of what makes it all possible.

This summer, our team has been hosting Customer Appreciation BBQs at several of our locations as a small way to say thank you. We are grateful for and humbled by the communities we have the privilege to serve and the customers who trust us to deliver quality materials every day.
