We had an incredible time in Tulsa at McElroy INFUSION26. Thank you to the entire McElroy team for bringing the fusion industry together for another outstanding conference.

Milford was honored to receive the McElroy President’s Award for the fourth consecutive year and the Platinum Sales Award for the second year in a row.

Congratulations as well to all of this year’s award winners, including our sister company, Salt Lake Windustrial, whose team we have had the good fortune to work alongside. And thank you to everyone across the Winsupply Family of Companies who made attending INFUSION26 a priority.

We’re also grateful for the vendor partners across pipe, fittings, valves, flanges, equipment and related products who help us support customers and projects every day.

This year’s theme was Built for This, and it felt especially appropriate given where the fusion industry is today.

A lot has changed over the last decade. Manufacturers have continued to advance the technology. Contractors have expanded their capabilities. Engineers and owners have become more comfortable with fusible systems. Distribution, equipment, training, service and technical support have all grown along with it.

Now, at the same time, we are seeing enormous investment in new and renewed infrastructure.

Water. Energy. Industrial development. Data centers. Utilities. Large commercial projects. Across the country, demand is growing for HDPE, PP-R, PP-RCT and other fusible piping systems that can meet higher expectations for reliability, efficiency and long-term performance.

In a lot of ways, this is the opportunity our industry has been preparing for. But having the right products is only part of it. The next step is making fusion easier to specify, easier to buy, easier to build with and easier to support. That takes manufacturers, distributors, engineers, owners and contractors working together throughout the life of a project.

It means helping engineers evaluate systems early. Helping owners understand the long-term value. Making sure contractors have the equipment, training and technical support they need to execute successfully. And then standing behind those projects after the material is delivered.

If we can do that consistently, we will do more than participate in the next generation of infrastructure. We will help make it possible.

That is what Built for This means to us. And after INFUSION26, we are more convinced than ever that this industry is ready for this moment.

Here’s a strange thing about infrastructure:

The people who make the decision are almost never the people who live with it the longest.

A pipe goes into the ground today. The crew moves on. The project closes. Budgets reset. People retire.

And the pipe stays.

A hundred years from now, America will look very different. Cars may drive themselves. Power may come from places we barely use today. Cities will grow in directions nobody predicted.

But someone will still turn on a faucet. Someone will still depend on a pipeline beneath a road they drive every day.

Today, much of the country is replacing infrastructure installed by people who faced the same basic decision we face now: What is the best thing we can put in the ground with what we know today?

They made their choice.

Now we get to make ours.

We know more about corrosion. We know more about joints, leaks, fatigue and lifecycle performance. And we have materials like HDPE that give us options previous generations simply did not have.

So maybe the question isn’t, “What have we always used?”

Shop-fabricated HDPE spools allow more of the cutting, fitting and fusion work to be completed before the pipe ever reaches the jobsite.

That means less field fabrication, fewer variables on site, and more efficient use of crews when it is time to install.
