I get to spend today with the incredible CDRS crew at Driver Rehabilitation Center of Excellence. Tomorrow they will host a NMEDA CAMS course where I will learn about more about vehicle modification solutions for my clients.
I also get to be with Trista and Susie and the Fishels are housing me. What a great trip!

We did it again!

Gary has new Sure Grip Hand Controls in his truck thanks to United Access Lenexa!

Gary reached out in April, when he learned about Limitless and was thrilled to be able to get started on his equipment training so quickly. He was a great pupil, and lots of fun to get to know. And you should have seen him fit his 6’5” frame in my small crossover!

His beloved truck is now equipped and he is ready to roll again! His freedom has returned! 🥳🛻💨

Last week one of my clients and I were guests on a panel for the Senior Truth Series discussing “ Safe Driving in your 80’s”

Pat was the highlight of the panel for the group, voicing a peer perspective, encouraging positivity no matter the circumstances, and encouraging the group to “never stop doing anything for yourself that you’re still able to do!”

Pat, a retired elementary principal who is 87 years young, passed her comprehensive driver evaluation with flying colors last month, giving her children peace of mind that she’s still got what it takes to drive on busy roads near her Kansas home. She said she was not surprised in her skills as she still feels confident while driving and hasn’t had any incidents. But she felt good about taking the testing to be sure of her skills and to ease her children’s concerns.

You’ll find her out volunteering at a local hospital and helping to drive her friends to appointments. I have found an inspiration and a new friend! 🚙 💨
