Nobody wants to be the first.
Being the first customer means taking a chance. There aren’t years of success stories to look back on or hundreds of customers telling you it works.
But 10 years ago, Lancaster County Christian School trusted Intulse — and became our very first client.
After the merging of Lancaster Christian School and Living Word Academy, LCCS was operating across two campuses with older, disconnected phone systems. If someone called one campus but needed to speak with someone at the other, the call couldn't simply be transferred — they had to call a different number. LCCS needed a system that could connect both campuses and their people while still being affordable and easy for their IT team to manage.
There was also a personal connection. Our founder and CEO, Darren Hollick, graduated from Living Word Academy, and his mom was serving on the board. When the school began looking for a solution, she told them about the new company Darren was building.
LCCS gave Intulse a chance.
We built a system that connected their campuses, worked with their existing paging system, gave their IT team better visibility and management, and was fully operational by the first day of the new school year — despite a very tight timeline.
And that first opportunity became something much bigger.
Over the years, Darren's wife and other Intulse employees have worked and substituted at LCCS, and children of Intulse team members have attended the school. What started as our first customer has become a relationship we're incredibly thankful for.
As Intulse celebrates 10 years, it felt right to celebrate the organization that was willing to trust us before there were 10 years of Intulse to point to.
LCCS, thank you for being first. Thank you for believing in what we were building. And thank you for trusting us for 10 years and counting.
