The first Wednesday of every month, we put the spotlight on one of our 517 Professionals members and give you the opportunity to learn more about the person behind the business.

This month, we’re excited to feature Bill Kingsley

Bill is part of Diversified Insurance Group and is also the founder of the Sunshine of Sandee Foundation. We’ll get to hear more about Bill, the work he does, the people he serves, and his involvement in our Greater Lansing community.

We’ll also be welcoming Julie DeRose for a special introduction.

Julie is a longtime DeWitt resident, wife, mom, small business owner, local business supporter, and candidate for Michigan’s 28th State Senate District. She’ll be joining us to introduce herself, share more about her background, and talk about why she decided to run for State Senate.

Come meet Julie and hear directly from her about her campaign and why she’s running!

And come hungry! Reno’s North is now offering breakfast available for purchase during our meetings, with menu options changing each week. Come early, grab some breakfast, and use that open networking time to make a few new connections before we get started.

What a FULL and fun meeting we had this week at 517 Professionals! 🙌

First, a big congratulations to Robert Rowe, our Employee Benefits & Medicare Specialist, who received our Member of the Month Award for August! 🏆

Charla from The Idea People, our Marketing Specialist and previous Member of the Month, officially passed the award on to Robert. If you or someone you know is approaching Medicare age and has questions or needs someone they can trust to help navigate their options, Robert is a great connection to have!

We also had Round Table Week, which is always one of our favorites. Instead of just talking about what we do and the referrals we’re looking for, we had the opportunity to sit in smaller groups, have deeper conversations, and get to know each other on a more personal level.

We also spent some time talking about our support points and our goals as a group.

517 Professionals isn’t just about showing up and exchanging business cards. We want to create a group of professionals who:

🤝 Build genuine relationships
📣 Actively support one another
🌱 Push each other to grow
💡 Become better connectors and leaders
❤️ Make a positive impact throughout the Greater Lansing community

And sometimes that means setting goals together and holding each other accountable to actually DO the things that make us a stronger group!

We’ll be back together the first Wednesday in September. September 2nd, when Bill Kingsley will be our Expert Member for the month. We’re excited to hear from Bill and learn more about him and what he’s up to!

This week is Round Table Week at 517 Professionals, which means we’ll be breaking into smaller groups and creating space for real conversations, deeper connections, and getting to know the people behind the businesses.

🤝 Round Table Week is coming up!

One of our favorite things about Round Table Week is that it gives you the chance to slow down and actually connect with a few people on a deeper level.

Yes, we want to know what you do.
Yes, we want to know who you’re looking to connect with.
But we also want to know YOU.

What makes you memorable? What do you have in common with the person sitting across from you? What can you learn about each other beyond the business card?

Because great networking isn’t just about collecting leads — it’s about building relationships with people you know, trust, and remember when the right opportunity comes up.

What a fun day supporting an even better cause! ⛳️💜

A HUGE thank you to Deb at FirstLight Home Care for sponsoring the Greater Lansing Care Foundation’s Driving for Dementia Golf Outing today!

Thank you to all of the volunteers, sponsors, golfers, and everyone who showed up to support such an important cause and make today happen.

We also loved seeing some of our 517 Professionals members out there connecting, supporting one another, meeting new people, and getting involved in our community. This is what networking is all about—building relationships AND showing up for the community around us.

Such a fun day with some pretty amazing humans. Thank you to everyone who made it special! 💜⛳️
