"They came out within 3 hours" – that's the kind of response time that matters when safety is on the line. Rhett G. and the PestStop team handled Cathy's wasp nest removal quickly and professionally.

Dolly Parton will always be remembered for her music, but just as important was the way she chose to serve others.

She used her success to give back, support children, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for people she would never personally meet. That kind of service leaves a legacy far beyond fame.

Her example has inspired us at Pest Stop to think about service in the same way: not just as the work we do, but as how we show up for people, support our community, share what we know, and try to leave things better than we found them.

Dolly showed that real success is measured by more than what you achieve. It is measured by what you give.

That is a legacy worth remembering.

Thank you, Dolly, for a lifetime of music, generosity, and service. ❤️

🚨 BREAKING: Jimothy is officially FREE. 🦝🎉

The internet’s favorite raccoon has traded viral fame for the great outdoors—and honestly, we’re rooting for him.

At Pest Stop, we believe wildlife belongs exactly where Jimothy is now… outside. 🌲

Sure, raccoons are adorable on your Facebook feed. They’re a lot less adorable when they’re:
🏠 Living in your attic
🦝 Ripping open insulation
🍼 Raising a family above your bedroom
💩 Leaving behind a not-so-cute mess

So here’s to you, Jimothy. Stay wild. Stay free. Just… stay out of our customers’ houses. 😅

If your home has an uninvited furry roommate, give Pest Stop a call. We’ll humanely remove the wildlife, identify how it got in, and help keep it from coming back.

By now you've probably seen the news about New World screwworm showing up in Texas. Three calves confirmed positive in South Texas since June 3rd, and it's the first established livestock infestation in the U.S. since the original eradication campaign in the 1960s.

We've been getting questions about what this means for folks up here in Washington and Oregon, so we put together a full breakdown.

The short answer: Washington and Oregon have never had a confirmed screwworm case. Not before eradication, not after. The climate, the distance, and the biology all work in our favor.

The long answer is on the blog. Worth a read if you have livestock, horses, farm animals, or just want to know what's actually going on.

🐻 We Had a Visitor This Afternoon!

So this happened right behind our Tumwater office today and we had to share it. A black bear paid us a visit out back, and honestly? Pretty cool wildlife moment. The good news is our honeybees were completely unbothered (smart bear), and the bear moved on without any drama.

If you're in the area, just a heads up to be mindful over the next little while:

🐾 Keep an eye on pets when letting them outside, especially in the early morning and evening hours

🌻 Bring in or secure any bird feeders, as they're a major attractant for bears

🗑️ Make sure trash cans are secure before putting them out

Bears are naturally curious and generally just passing through looking for an easy meal. As long as we don't give them one, they'll keep moving. We alerted neighbors in the area and wanted to make sure our community had the heads up too.

Because that's what neighbors do. 🐝
