🎨 Hidden beneath the paint… a glimpse into the past! 🏛️

One of the most fascinating discoveries at The Fitch House happened during our 2021 renovation.

Beneath layers of paint, we uncovered hand-painted murals in the upstairs bathroom, including this extraordinary silhouette of a trumpeter holding a long golden horn. It's the kind of unexpected detail that makes an old house feel alive with stories.

The Fitch House has ties to Reverend George Washington Hardaway (1840–1915), an early owner whose life is part of the rich history surrounding this historic Longwood property.

Every hidden detail offers another clue to the people, creativity, and everyday life of generations past.

Today, The Fitch House continues its story as a home for entrepreneurs, independent professionals, and growing businesses in Historic Longwood.

We love that our members get to work in a place with a past worth talking about. ❤️

What do you think about the trumpeter mural? Have you ever discovered something unexpected in an old home?

🌸 A beautiful reminder of why supporting other businesses matters.

Last week, I was surprised with these gorgeous orchids from a fellow BNI member after I left a Google review for their business.

That review has now been seen more than 8,000 times! 😲

It’s a great reminder that something as simple as taking a few minutes to leave a thoughtful review can have a real impact on a small business.

And then to have that support come back around in such a thoughtful way? ❤️

This is one of the things I love about being part of the Longwood business community and BNI Elite Winter Park. Entrepreneurship doesn't have to be a competition. We can introduce one another, refer business, share experiences, leave reviews, and celebrate each other's successes.

These beautiful orchids are now brightening up The Fitch House and reminding me that business relationships are about much more than business. 🌿

Here's to supporting local businesses, building genuine relationships, and helping each other grow!

Martin Lorentzon, cofounder of Spotify, reminds us that the way to build a successful company (and, in many ways, a successful life) is to focus on being useful:

"The value of a company is the sum of all problems solved."
