Children dream BIG when they can see themselves in the future they imagine. Seeing these young ladies excited about the coloring pages from the book was a beautiful reminder that representation matters.

🎓 HELP US SUPPORT OUR RISING GRADUATES 💛

The transition after high school can be exciting — but it can also be overwhelming for many students and families. Through the Rising Graduate Program, we are working to make sure students entering college, trade school, and postsecondary programs feel prepared, supported, and confident as they begin this next chapter.

This year, we are asking our community to step in and help us make a difference.

We are currently looking for:
🎒 School supplies
🏠 Dorm essentials
🛒 Everyday necessities
💛 Monetary donations
🏢 Businesses, churches, schools, and organizations willing to HOST a college donation drive

Every item donated helps remove a barrier for a student.

This is bigger than supplies — this is about showing students that their community believes in them and is willing to walk alongside them.

If your organization, church, workplace, or business would like to host a donation drive or partner with us, please message me directly. We would truly appreciate your support.

Together, we can help students leave prepared — not overwhelmed. 💛

Every order means more than a shirt. 💛❤️💙

It’s a reminder to our Black & Brown babies that they are brilliant, capable, creative, and worthy of dreaming BIG. ✨

When you wear a Future Heroes: Black & Brilliant shirt, you’re not just supporting a Black-owned business — you’re helping spread a message of confidence, representation, education, and possibility.

Seeing these orders go out honestly means a lot to me because this vision started with wanting children to SEE themselves in positive, powerful ways early.

Our kids deserve to grow up knowing:
👩🏾‍⚕️ They can become doctors
👨🏿‍🔬 Scientists
👩🏽‍🏫 Educators
👨🏾‍💻 Tech creators
👩🏿‍🚀 Anything they dream of.

Thank you to everyone supporting the movement. 🖤
Your purchase is helping us inspire the next generation of future heroes.

Message me to order your shirt today! ✨

Representation matters — but conversation matters too 💛📚

When I visit schools, youth organizations, and community centers, I don’t just read my book *Future Heroes: Black & Brilliant*…

I create interactive experiences that help students:
✨ Build confidence
✨ Explore careers early
✨ Develop self-belief
✨ Learn the importance of dreaming beyond their current environment

Through activities, discussion, reflection, and engaging conversations, students are encouraged to see themselves as capable, valuable, and worthy of success.

Too often, career conversations start too late. Exposure matters. Confidence matters. Helping students SEE possibilities matters.

When children can connect their interests, gifts, and identity to real career pathways early, it helps shape how they view themselves and their future.

My goal is simple:
To help youth understand that their dreams are not “too big” — and that they belong in every room they aspire to enter.

Now booking:
📚 Schools
📚 Summer Programs
📚 Youth Organizations
📚 Community Centers
📚 Family Engagement Events

Let’s empower youth, build futures, and change lives together 💙❤️💛

Full circle moments. 💛

During my practicum at W.E.B. DuBois Academy, I had the opportunity to lead a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) group with students while working toward my Master’s degree in School Counseling.

These moments reminded me that counseling is more than academics — it’s about creating safe spaces where students feel heard, valued, and supported while learning how to navigate emotions, relationships, and life challenges.

Thank you to Ms. Jaymie for trusting me with the opportunity to pour into students and grow in my journey as a future school counselor. Every lesson, conversation, and breakthrough helped shape me into the counselor I am becoming. ❤️

This work is bigger than a title. It’s purpose.

“Junior year is one of the MOST important years of high school… but so many students and families go into it without a roadmap.

That’s exactly why I’m creating my Junior Year Jumpstart Guide — a resource designed to help students prepare BEFORE senior year stress begins. From college readiness and scholarships to self-advocacy, career exploration, organization, and planning for life after graduation… this is about helping students move with intention.

I gave a small preview today 👀 and seeing the excitement reminded me why this work matters so much. Our students deserve access to information early, not last minute.

This guide is being created with real students, real families, and real-life transitions in mind. I can’t wait to share more with y’all soon. ❤️💛💙

There’s a reason Social Emotional Learning (SEL) matters so much — because life will test our ability to respond before it rewards our ability to succeed.

Several months ago, I had the opportunity to speak with high school students through Black Achievers about emotional regulation, self-awareness, and the importance of understanding how our emotions can either push us forward or hold us back.

At a young age, many students are navigating stress, pressure, anger, disappointment, comparison, and uncertainty while still trying to figure out who they are. The reality is this: if we never learn how to manage our emotions, they can begin managing us.

One emotional decision can impact opportunities, relationships, education, and future goals. That’s why we must continue creating spaces where students feel seen, heard, and equipped with tools that help them grow — not just academically, but emotionally too.

Success is not only about intelligence. It’s also about self-control, communication, resilience, and learning how to respond even when life gets difficult.

I’m grateful for every opportunity to pour into our youth and remind them that their future is bigger than a temporary emotion. ❤️

This little face right here?
She’s one of the biggest reasons I keep going. ❤️

My youngest daughter.
My baby.
The one who gets to experience me in a completely different season of life.

All three of my girls have experienced different versions of me.
One saw me while I was still trying to figure life out.
One watched me grow through struggle, survival, and uncertainty.
And this one? She gets the version of me that is healing, learning, building, and walking fully in purpose.

Motherhood has matured me in ways I can’t even explain. It made me realize that our children are always watching how we move, how we fight, how we dream, and how we believe in ourselves.

That’s one of the reasons I created Future Heroes: Black & Brilliant.

I wanted children who look like mine to grow up seeing themselves as intelligent, capable, creative, and worthy of success. I wanted them to know early that their dreams matter. Their voices matter. Their brilliance matters.

Everything I hustle for is bigger than me now.
It’s legacy work. ✨🖤
