Last week and again this week, Verona Safety trainer Tony Frank with Frank Power Solutions led 4-hour NFPA 70E Electrical Safety training sessions for the Suburban Enterprises team!

These sessions focused on helping employees better understand electrical hazards, safe work practices, and the importance of protecting themselves when working around electrical systems.

🪜 NEW MONTH. FRESH START. WOULD YOUR LADDER PASS AN INSPECTION?

It’s officially September 1st, and a new month is the perfect reminder to take a fresh look at the equipment your crew relies on every day.

A ladder might look fine at first glance, but that doesn’t always mean it’s safe to climb.

OSHA requires ladders to be inspected periodically and after any occurrence that could affect their safe use. Before climbing, check for potential hazards including:

🔍 Broken, cracked, bent, or missing rungs and steps
🔍 Damaged or split side rails
🔍 Loose or damaged hardware and fasteners
🔍 Worn or damaged feet and slip-resistant surfaces
🔍 Oil, grease, or other slipping hazards
🔍 Missing or unreadable safety labels
🔍 Any other damage that could affect safe use

Find a defect? Don’t climb. A damaged ladder should be immediately marked or tagged “Dangerous: Do Not Use” or otherwise removed from service until it can be properly repaired or destroyed.

Start September with safety at the top of the list. A few extra minutes spent inspecting your ladder today can help prevent a much bigger problem on the jobsite tomorrow.

🎣 HOOKED ON GREAT CONNECTIONS! 🎣

This past Saturday, a few members of the Verona Safety crew traded safety gear for fishing gear and hit the water for an awesome night of bow fishing with our friends at Stevens Construction! 🏹🐟

It was a great time, but even better company! At Verona Safety, we believe some of the best business relationships go far beyond the office. Getting to spend time with customers who have become friends is something we never take for granted.

Great conversations, plenty of laughs, a little friendly competition and definitely a few fish along the way! 🎣

A HUGE thank you to Brett Staplemann for taking us out and giving the Verona Safety crew such an awesome bow fishing experience! We had an absolute blast and really appreciate you having us along.

🔧 Behind the Scenes at the Verona Safety Repair Center!

Your fall protection equipment works hard, and keeping it properly inspected and maintained is an important part of keeping workers protected.

Here’s a look inside our Repair Center, where our trained technicians inspect, service, and repair Self-Retracting Lifelines (SRLs) to help make sure they’re ready when they’re needed most.

From opening up the unit and inspecting internal components to completing necessary repairs and getting equipment back into service, our team is here to help you get more from your fall protection equipment.

🚩 SAFETY RED FLAG: Your harness looks like it survived 3 generations of employees. 😂

Your fall protection equipment isn't something to just grab, put on and hope for the best.

🔎 Before each use, take the time to properly inspect your harness. Look for cuts, fraying, tears, abrasions, damaged stitching, burns, corrosion, damaged hardware and other signs of wear or deterioration.

If a component is defective, take it out of service.
