Steerable Line Arrays, problem solved for large Cathedral sanctuary. We couldn’t incorporate acoustic damping in this beautiful facility but we were able to make spoken word intelligible at every seat through the use of high quality Renkus-Heinz steerable arrays. Through the use of computer modeling and pattern control the reinforced sound is reduced on areas other than seating thereby reducing the amount of sound re-entering the space while creating direct sound at the listener’s ears. A very successful solution.

A long narrow hallway and a bunch of noisy children makes for difficult people management. However, make the space quieter makes a big difference. This was an issue in a preschool until recently. We were asked to develop a solution to bring the noise level down in a very difficult space. Acoustic panels on the wall wer a less than desirable solution as there were murals everywhere. So we looked at suspended baffles as an option in the areas where there was sufficient height to do so. Along with some wall panels in a section where we could do so we were able to substantially reduce the noise levels in the space.

Great experience with Mitch Ruth yesterday from Tickled Ivories piano tuning. I have an old upright grand piano that has been in the family for 100+ years. It hadn’t been tuned in decades so I was concerned that it would be a problem bringing it to A440. However Mitch did a wonderful job and it sounds great.
