The Strategic Consulting Partners team Monica Gould, MBA, CMC and Jenny Gallagher Blom recently supported the City of Lakeland’s Commission during their recent strategic planning retreat. 

Over two days, Commissioners engaged in thoughtful, forward-looking dialogue focusing on their role at the 30,000-foot policy level while shaping a shared vision for Lakeland’s future.
  
Drawing on insights from citizen and staff surveys, the group identified key priorities including economic development, infrastructure, quality of life, public safety, and organizational excellence. The retreat created space for alignment, clarity, and long-term thinking.

The retreat wasn’t about finalizing tactics, it was about shared understanding and strategic direction that staff can carry forward into meaningful action.
