Nearly a year ago, we planted roots on Broad Avenue — and this little stretch of street has given us more than we ever expected. A place to gather. A place to create. A place where "purchase with purpose" stops being a tagline and turns into real conversations with real neighbors.

We're not open every day — once a month, we open the doors for a pop-up, fill the space with fair-trade goods and the makers behind them, and invite this community in. That's Joffa, in person.

Imani Collective creates luxe textiles and leather goods that reflect the distinct styles of Kenya and the Horn of Africa. But their real craft is how they treat the women who make it all possible.

Every artisan receives vocational training, fair wages, and a benefits package that goes far beyond the norm: childcare close by, meals provided, time set aside to learn to read and write, and paid parental leave.

There's even space made for dreaming about what comes next — because a job should be more than survival.
