Meet our new Winemaker- Daniel Garcia
Daniel grew up in California's San Joaquin valley before moving to Walla Walla in his early twenties. While searching for a career path, he found himself helping out at a harvest sorting table and quickly realized there was something special about making wine. The sights, smells, and Hands-On nature of harvest sparked his interest and led him to pursue a career in winemaking.
Daniel has been part of the wine industry for nearly 12 years. Having graduated from Walla Walla Community College's Enology & Viticulture program in 2020, he has worked in a variety of roles including Cellar Master, Enologist, and Assistant Winemaker.
When it comes to wine, Daniel is a big fan of Cabernet Sauvignon, especially the Cabernet coming out of the Walla Walla Valley. He loves the process of making wine, but just as much, he enjoys sharing it with others and helping people find wine they love.
When he's not in the cellar, Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife and their two small dogs. They love making trips to the Oregon Coast, and in his spare time, you'll find Daniel enjoying a round of golf or taking his motorcycle out for a ride.
We're excited to have Daniel joining the Zerba Cellars team and look forward to the experience, passion, and enthusiasm he brings to the cellar. Help us give Daniel a warm welcome to the team!
