🍷 Okay, Aglianico… it’s your turn.

We’re back with another grape in our Meet the Grapes of Kefi series, and this one has a pretty special place here at Kefi!

Aglianico has Italian roots with an interesting connection to ancient Greek viticulture. It’s known for rich notes of cherry, blackberry, and plum, along with hints of spice and earth.

We’ve been growing and working with Aglianico for a while now, and we love it both on its own and as part of our blends.

So, if you’ve had our Aglianico before, now you know a little more about the grape behind the bottle. And if you haven’t… might be time you give it a try. 😉

If you’ve ever looked at a wine label and thought, “I have absolutely no idea how to pronounce that,” you’re not alone. 😉

Some of the most incredible grapes in the world aren’t household names, and that’s exactly why we love them.

At Kefi, many of the varieties we grow are rooted in our family’s Greek heritage. Our founder (my Mom) is a first-generation Greek American, and these grapes are a way of honoring the traditions passed down from her parents while creating something uniquely our own here in North Carolina.

So we’re kicking off a new series where we’ll introduce you to the grape varieties growing here at Kefi.

First up: the unforgettable, Moschofilero 🇬🇷

Who turned the heat up!? It maybe be hot outside but our nice cold crisp Ribolla Gialla with some charcuterie nachos to start off the holiday weekend hits the spot on this scorcher of an evening. We are open 4th of July from 12pm-6pm. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Charcuterie Nachos
-Plain kettle cooked chips
-Brie (cut into small cubes)
-Shredded Gouda
-Fresh Mozzarella
-Prosciutto
-Salami
-Balsamic glaze
And other accompaniments you would like to add. Put chips on a aluminum foil or parchment paper lined baking sheet and top with your toppings. Bake at 375 for about 6 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly, top with preserves or balsamic glaze and enjoy with your Kefi wine!

Introducing our 2018 Reserve Syrah. Our longest barrel‑aged wine, 3 to 5 years in French oak. This Reserve Syrah is all about balance and complexity, with deep notes of blackberry and plum. What sets it apart is the savory finish, black pepper, and dried herbs. Limited production.

Making its debut on May 10th 2026, come grab a glass or bottle and learn more about it from the winemaker herself who will be onsite. We look forward to sharing this reserve with you!

But Kefi also brings something that can’t be bought or named.

It’s a feeling. A returning to our true nature. A reminder of our inherent beauty and worth, simply because we exist. 🌳

Nature is perfectly imperfect. It teaches us to slow down. To tend to each part of ourselves with care and compassion. To appreciate this moment, because in truth, this exact moment is where life really exists. It’s where all is possible.
