Every major shift in your life will test one thing first: your ability to think clearly under pressure.
At our live events, we teach a simple exercise around the 7 Laws of Change, and what we consistently see is this:
The moment change is introduced, the mind doesn’t immediately look for opportunity.
Instead, it asks: “What am I going to lose?”
And in that moment, everything contracts.
Because people shift into protection instead of possibility.
They mentally start giving things up before anything has even happened, including clarity, direction, confidence, and creativity.
The truth is:
You cannot create a new life from a survival mindset.
For many entrepreneurs, that survival wiring didn’t start in business. It was learned early in environments where unpredictability was normal, and control felt like safety.
So as adults, when uncertainty shows up, the pattern reactivates as:
• Control more
• Tighten decisions
• Overthink everything
• React instead of lead
In the moment, it feels like it's the responsible thing to do.
But it is actually contraction.
And contraction is what blocks the very solution you are trying to find.
Every problem has a solution. That's the Law.
It is just inaccessible in a mind focused on loss and lack.
The shift is simple, but powerful:
Stop asking, “What could I lose?”
Start asking, “What becomes possible if I stay open here?”
Because change does not break people.
The fear of loss does.
And the moment you stay in that thinking long enough to see beyond it, everything begins to open again.
