RACE RECAP- Volunteer Speedway

Qualified on the pole, finished P2 in Heat 1, and ended the feature with a DNF.

We had a fast race car last night and unfortunately didn’t get the finish to show for it. Not much we care to say about how the night ended. Some things are better left at the track and sometimes the most eventful laps aren’t even under green.

We’ll fix what needs fixing, leave the rest where it belongs, and move on to the next one.

Qualified 4th in Group B, picked up the Heat 4 win, and redrew the 3 to roll off P3 for 100 laps in the Hillbilly 100.

We were running P5 when a flat tire under caution changed the course of our night. We lost some ground and ultimately brought it home P9.

Not the finish we were chasing, but we had a fast race car all weekend and showed we had the speed to run up front.

A solid P9 in the Hillbilly 100. Proud of this team and the fight all weekend long.

Man, this one hurts.

Qualified 5th in Group A, won the heat race, and rolled off from the outside pole for the feature.

Got out front and stretched it to nearly a straightaway lead before a RR tire ended our night with 14 to go.

We had the car. We had the speed. Just didn’t have the luck to go with it.

But there’s no time to dwell on it because the big one is TONIGHT. The Hillbilly 100 is up next, and we’re ready to take another swing at it.
