RACE DAY | FRIENDSHIP SPEEDWAY

It’s race day at The Ship!

Tonight we’re headed to Friendship Motor Speedway for a very special night of Racing for Sully.

Tonight’s event will benefit 5-month-old Baby Sully and the Boyd family as she battles a rare disease.

A night of racing for a cause much bigger than the sport. Let’s pack the stands and show this family what the racing community is all about!

Racing has a way of keeping you humble.

We came into this weekend with the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series riding the high of three wins in a row, but left Carolina Speedway and Cherokee Speedway without being able to finish either feature.

Both nights, we simply found ourselves in the wrong place at the wrong time, getting caught up in wrecks that ended our night before we had the chance to see what we could do.

That’s racing. One weekend you’re celebrating in Victory Lane, and the next you’re loading up with torn-up equipment. The highs are high, the lows are low, and weekends like this make you appreciate those wins that much more.

We’ll get everything put back together, regroup, and come back ready for the next one. The bad weekends just make the good ones that much sweeter.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support us through all of it. We’ll be back.

Well… Carolina Speedway was a short one.

Qualified 5th in Group B and rolled off 10th for the feature.

Lap 1, Turn 1.. a pileup collected about six cars, including us. We came in, changed the left front tire, and headed back out to give it another shot.

Then on Lap 3, we got ran into the wall and brought our night to an early end.

Definitely not the way we wanted our night at Carolina Speedway to go. Sometimes you’re just in the wrong place at the wrong time… and sometimes it happens more than once.
