There’s more than one way to bring people together.

Sometimes it’s 200 people at a great event. Sometimes it’s a dozen people around a table tackling a tough issue, finding common ground, building a partnership or figuring out what we can do better together.

That’s really what convening means, and it’s at the heart of so much of the Napa Chamber’s work.

Our CEO's latest Napa Valley Register column is about the many ways we bring people together and, more importantly, what can happen when we do.

At the Napa Chamber's recent event, nearly 200 people united for networking, good food, local w**es, and new partnerships that support businesses, nonprofits, and community growth in Napa.

Our Joint Business After Hours with the Napa County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was one for the books. Having Leadership Napa Valley on scene with their Board PICK program for nonprofits added to the energy.

Working artists: take your creative business to the next level with the Working Artist Accelerator, a free business-development program designed specifically for artists.

Through interactive workshops, field experiences and one-on-one advising, participants will gain practical tools to market and sell their work, strengthen their business, and build connections within Napa’s creative community. Experiences will include creative coaching, installation and curation, and an inside look at Napa’s public art program.

Selected artists will also receive individual SBDC advising and a stipend to reinvest in their business, courtesy of Mechanics Bank.

Applicants must:
• Live or conduct business within 20 miles of the City of Napa
• Have an existing body of artwork or art product and an online presence
• Be able to obtain a City of Napa business license, if needed
• Commit to attending all required sessions

Oh what a night!

While the sizzle reel is still being put together, we couldn’t wait to share a few photos from an incredible evening!

Nearly 200 people joined us for our annual Joint Business After Hours hosted by the Napa Chamber of Commerce and Napa County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, an evening full of connection, conversation, community, and a whole lot of fun.

This year, we added something new by partnering with Leadership Napa Valley to feature its Board PICK (Passion, Interest, Commitment & Knowledge), connecting local nonprofit organizations with people interested in putting their talents to work as engaged board members. A perfect fit for an evening all about making connections!

Thanks to our presenting sponsor, Mechanics Bank, guests enjoyed delicious paella from Zuzu Wood Fired Paella, beautiful charcuterie from Graze Craze Napa, outstanding local w**es from W**e Estates, Encanto Vineyards, Chalo Cellars, Bazán Cellars, and delightful sweets.

And we couldn’t have asked for a better setting than the Napa Valley Education Foundation Discovery Campus with Napa River views, stately redwoods, and the kind of space that makes you want to linger just a little longer.

Great food and w**e. New introductions. Familiar faces. Community connections everywhere you looked. That’s Business After Hours. And that’s what happens when our community comes together.
