After working with CVG Architects to design their Naperville residence, these homeowners returned to us with a vision for expanding their dream home.

The result is “The Provencal Pavilion”, a remodeled and expanded cabana designed to complement the home’s Transitional French Provincial style while creating a versatile space for gathering, relaxing, and entertaining.

A new bedroom suite, expanded indoor/outdoor entertaining area, and movable glass wall system allow the pavilion to transition from an open poolside retreat to a comfortable year-round space. A new outdoor kitchen, bar, and TV area extends the entertaining space toward the tennis court.

Designed to feel like a natural extension of the home, the pavilion brings together the comforts of indoor living with the freedom of outdoor entertaining.

Whether you’re grabbing your morning coffee or making a quick stop between errands, a well-designed drive-thru can keep things moving. ☕️

CVG Architects helped transform a former Smoothie King in La Porte, IN, into a new 7 Brew Coffee Drive-Thru location. The renovation adapted the existing 1,480 SF building to meet the brand’s prototype while responding to the site’s unique conditions.

The completed project features an expanded canopy, an efficient drive-thru layout, and updates that give the existing building a fresh new identity while supporting a smooth customer experience.

As the Charles Vincent George (CVG) Architects team grew, its office needed to grow with it. The firm’s new 5,430 SF fourth-floor workplace gives its expanding team more room while supporting the collaboration and in-person connections central to how CVG functions.

Before renovating, the former office was divided into private rooms, but to bring principals, architects, designers, and producers together in a shared workplace, we opened the space while still creating areas for focused work and private conversations. Sit-stand workstations, phone rooms, and flexible meeting areas give the team the flexibility to work together or work independently when needed.

From the glass entry visible from the elevator corridor to the artwork, materials, and finishes selected throughout, the space reflects CVG’s approach to design: thoughtful, functional, and shaped for the people who use it.

A renewed space for Calumet College of St. Joseph is now complete!

Designed to support the many ways a college community comes together, the 7th Floor can now transition easily from student showcases and celebrations to alumni events and everyday moments of connection. An outdoor terrace provides additional space for gatherings, allowing events to expand beyond interior spaces and giving students a chance to enjoy the surrounding area during warmer months.

This new campus destination will certainly be the go-to spot for both planned and impromptu gatherings.

From a leased space to a headquarters of their own. This 15,000-SF ground-up facility in Bensenville, IL was designed to support Auto-Chlor System’s transition into a new company-owned space tailored to its operational needs. As an industrial facility meant to support Auto-Chlor’s business of manufacturing, leasing, and servicing commercial dishwashing machines, laundry equipment, and cleaning supplies, the building was designed to include office, warehouse, repair, and high-hazard storage areas, along with a drive-through layout that streamlines loading, unloading, and secure overnight vehicle parking.

Precast concrete panels with stamped and stained brick formliners provide the refined look of a masonry exterior paired with the durability of precast concrete, while leveraging an accelerated construction schedule in winter conditions that would not be possible with typical masonry construction.

A school should be more than a place where students spend their day. It should inspire curiosity, encourage exploration, and help foster a sense of belonging.

For Kensington School’s Chicago West Loop location, the CVG team helped transform a challenging urban site into a three-story learning environment designed for infants through pre-Kindergarten students. From initial design through construction administration, every decision focused on creating a school that supports students, staff, and parents.

Designing within the constraints of a dense city site was central to our strategy, so our team used thoughtful planning to maximize the school’s footprint. To accommodate student drop-offs and staff, we made on-site parking accessible through a public alley, while two playgrounds offer students ample space for discovery and movement. Inside, natural light fills the heart of the school, and an open central staircase brings energy and activity into the center of the building.

Tucked along the lake in Wisconsin’s Northwoods, the Lakeshore Fishing Club Residence is a place where family and friends can slow down, reconnect, and make the most of time together.

From mornings spent taking in the lake views through expansive windows to evenings enjoying the outdoors on covered terraces, the home was intentionally designed to keep the beauty of the Northwoods at the center of everyday living.

With space to welcome guests and room to grow with the family, this lakefront retreat is more than a getaway. It’s a place built for making memories.

When we were tasked with designing a new home with a fresh take on traditional architecture, this transitional residence in Western Springs, IL, began to take shape.

Blending modern and traditional design, the home uses a semi-enclosed stair hall and feature glass wall to create a thoughtful transition between the foyer and private library. At the heart of the home, an expansive great room serves as a communal living space, bringing together the family room, dining room, kitchen, and dinette. The highly functional indoor kitchen and pantry design extends this sense of connectivity outdoors, creating a seamless flow to the outdoor kitchen and resort-like living spaces. The adjacent skylight patio features a dining area and lounge with a fireplace and TV, providing an inviting setting for gathering and entertaining year-round.

Beyond the shared living spaces, the primary suite functions as a private retreat, complete with a spacious walk-in closet and views overlooking the outdoor pool. The lower level continues the home's emphasis on balance, creating space to work and recharge. A personal office and golf simulator transition into a wellness area, while media and lounge spaces, along with a guest suite, offer opportunities for relaxation and connection. Together, these spaces support a lifestyle that allows for productivity, wellness, entertaining, and downtime without leaving the comfort of home.
