Feeling behind is often a sign that you are measuring the wrong thing.
A consultant with 1,400 LinkedIn connections may not need 100,000 followers. They may need three or four strong clients, a clear offer, and a consistent way to build trust with the people already within reach.
That is a very different strategy than chasing mass attention.
If you are building an expertise-based business, your audience size is only one part of the equation. The more urgent question is whether your offer, reputation, and relationships are set up to create revenue from the audience you already have.
