What if your business card could do a lot more than sit in someone's wallet?

After years of handing out traditional business cards, I've added a new tool to my networking toolkit: a Wave Connect digital business card. With a simple tap, scan, or click, people can instantly access my contact information, LinkedIn profile, website, social media channels, and more—without downloading an app or manually entering my information.

As someone who spends a lot of time building relationships, telling stories, and creating connections, I was intrigued by Wave's ability to turn introductions into ongoing conversations. No more outdated contact information. No more stacks of paper cards. Just one profile that's always up to date and available wherever I go.

If you'd like to connect, visit my new digital business card:

I'd love to hear from others who have made the switch from traditional business cards to digital networking tools. What has your experience been?

What if the most valuable member of your leadership team isn't a full-time employee?

A new Forbes article explores how organizations can build stronger relationships with fractional executives and other strategic partners. The key message is simple: treat fractional leaders like trusted members of the team, not outside vendors. When communication is clear, expectations are aligned, and trust is built early, fractional professionals can deliver outsized value, expertise, and results.

As more organizations look for flexible access to senior-level talent, the fractional model continues to gain momentum. Whether it's a Fractional CMO, CFO, COO, or CCO, success depends on partnership. The strongest relationships are built on shared goals, mutual respect, transparency, and a commitment to solving problems together.

It’s way too easy to fake interviews, even those that are video calls, so a personal referral network really matters here.

What if everything you thought you knew about hospice care was wrong?

Too often, families wait until a crisis occurs before exploring hospice care because of common misconceptions and misunderstandings.

In this important 'Great Day Louisiana' segment on WWLTV, Emmy Award-nominated host Malik Mingo sits down with Ricardo Febry, M.Sc., M.D., Founder & Chief Medical Officer of Care Associates, to separate fact from fiction and explain how hospice can provide comfort, support, dignity, and peace of mind for both patients and their families.

Whether you're caring for an aging parent, supporting a loved one with a serious illness, or planning ahead for the future, this is a conversation worth watching.

The more we talk about hospice care, the more empowered families become to make informed decisions when they need support the most.

Who takes care of the person who takes care of everyone else?

If you missed Dr. Ricardo Febry's recent appearance on WWLTV's 'Great Day Louisiana' with host Malik Mingo, I encourage you to take a few minutes to watch this important conversation about caregiver burnout.

Caregiving can be one of life's most rewarding experiences, but it can also be physically, emotionally, and mentally exhausting. During this segment, Dr. Febry, Founder & Chief Medical Officer of Care Associates, discusses the warning signs of caregiver burnout, why so many caregivers struggle in silence, and the importance of seeking support before reaching a crisis point.

With nearly 95,000 Louisianans living with Alzheimer's disease and more than 200,000 family caregivers providing support, this conversation is more important than ever.

What if your organization's biggest growth challenge isn't marketing, sales, or technology?

What if it's trust?

A recent in The Wall Street Journal inspired me to write the first installment of my new 'Fractional CCO Insights' series: "What CEOs Misunderstand About Communications."

In it, I share lessons learned from more than 30 years helping organizations launch, grow, navigate change, and build momentum—from Ochsner Health and the Smoking Cessation Trust to STEM NOLA and the clients I serve today through PittMarcom.

One lesson stands above the rest: advertising buys attention, but trust earns action.

If you're a business owner, nonprofit leader, healthcare executive, attorney, or entrepreneur looking to strengthen visibility, reputation, stakeholder engagement, and growth, I think you'll find value in this conversation.

I'd love to hear your thoughts after you've read it.

Who takes care of the person who takes care of everyone else?

Thousands of family caregivers across Southeast Louisiana quietly answer that question every day. They manage medications, attend appointments, advocate, comfort, sacrifice, and often carry the weight alone.

This Thursday, June 11, Dr. Ricardo Febry, founder and Chief Medical Officer of Care Associates, joins Great Day Louisiana host Malik Mingo for an important conversation about caregiver burnout, hospice misconceptions, and how families can find support before reaching a crisis.

Having cared for loved ones living with Alzheimer's disease, I understand these challenges firsthand. If you're caring for a parent, spouse, family member, or friend, I encourage you to watch.

What if the most important skill of the next decade isn't learning how to use AI—but learning how to work with it? This is the central message of "Co-Intelligence: Living and Working with AI" by The Wharton School professor Ethan Mollick, published by Portfolio Books.

Rather than viewing AI as a threat or a replacement, Mollick challenges us to treat it as a co-worker, coach, teacher, and creative partner. His advice is practical, balanced, and immediately applicable.

As a fractional marketing communications leader, I see this every day. AI doesn't replace strategy, creativity, judgment, empathy, or storytelling; it amplifies them. The organizations and leaders who learn to combine human intelligence with artificial intelligence will move faster, communicate more effectively, and create greater value than ever before.

If you're a business leader, marketer, communicator, entrepreneur, or lifelong learner, this book deserves a place on your reading list.
