10 YEARS OF FREEDOM! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿš€ I honestly cannot believe today marks a full decade since I took a leap of faith, quit my job, and dove headfirst into entrepreneurship.

Still standing, and still reaping the benefits of a choice I made 10 years ago. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ This decade has been the ultimate faith walk.

Along the way, I even stepped into two different God-led rolesโ€”one for 5 months and another for 10 months. I learned a ton, but it only solidified what I already knew: working for someone else is just not for me.

Maybe for a short season, but never for good.

If I could give any advice to a new, aspiring, or struggling entrepreneur, itโ€™s this: Keep going. This entire journey is trial and error.

โœ”๏ธ Fail FORWARD as many times as needed.

โœ”๏ธ Invest in a mentor or coach ASAP. There are a lot of โ€œgurusโ€ out there, so when you find someone solid, stick close. Prioritize character, integrity, and how they treat others over social media hype.

โœ”๏ธ Turn your Lโ€™s into Lessons. Scaling a business has major ups and downs. Keep your name clean, because RELATIONSHIPS will carry you much further than any business idea ever will.

โœ”๏ธ Show up no matter how you feel. This is an emotional journey. Surround yourself with like-minded people who will uplift you and push you forward.

โœ”๏ธ Focus on your supporters. Over 10 years of building, Iโ€™ve had to nurture some connections and end others. Everybody canโ€™t go where youโ€™re going, and that is okay.

Long story short... I made it. Iโ€™m still making it, and Iโ€™m actively building the vision I speak life into daily. God has so much more in store! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ”ฅ

I paid off over $80k in student ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿพโ€๐ŸŽ“ loans in my late 20s!

My student loans didnโ€™t just fund my education but my very first investment property

Wellโ€ฆ at *21*, I used my grad school refund check to buy this property for $7,900 (yes, you read that rightโ€”no typo) ๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿ’ต

I renovated it, lived in it for 2 years, then turned it into a cash cow ๐Ÿ„ generating passive income.

Eventually, I became *my own bank* ๐Ÿฆ and owner-financed it.

Exactly 8 years ago yesterday, I received the final mortgage payment from the buyer. It was bittersweet ๐Ÿ˜ข as I said goodbye to a 10-year investment ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿพ

That decision? One of the BEST Iโ€™ve ever made. It taught me more than any classroom could. ๐Ÿ“š

We just closed an escrow in St. Tammany where the seller believed the property was worth more than it appraised at.

And to be fair, the house had all the finishing touches. New AC, newer roof, upgraded cabinetry, the whole thing. Honestly, it showed really well.

But it was overpriced for the area.

The market didnโ€™t care.
The appraiser didnโ€™t care.

The comps set the value.

We negotiated it down, got it closed in 21 days, and got it across the finish line.

Upgrades donโ€™t guarantee value.
The market decides that.
