VHS Ventures is proud to represent the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism! Hola USA recently covered a special gala in Miami last month at Marlins Stadium celebrating Miches, the future of sustainable luxury travel.
Minister of Tourism, David Collado hosted an evening that turned a ballpark into a beach-inspired celebration of the Dominican Republic’s next great luxury frontier. The guest list included Dayanara Torres, Lili Estefan, Camila Coelho, Bruna Biancardi, Cale Ruggeri, Flavia Pavanelli, and Rainer Stampfer, alongside hospitality executives, investors, and tourism leaders from across the region. Colombian star Fonseca took the stage for a surprise set, and Emilio Estefan joined in for an impromptu drum solo.
Miches traces back to a fishing village settled by families from El Seibo, named for General Eugenio Miches in 1936, and rediscovered by Swiss travelers on Playa Esmeralda in the 1980s. Today it’s home to Club Med, Zemi Miches, and Viva Miches by Wyndham, with Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia opening in 2027 alongside future Marriott properties. It’s one of the largest waves of tourism development in the country’s history, and we got to help tell that story to the room that matters most.
