NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani doubled the funding for a city program designed to help commercial tenants in lease negotiations in his first municipal budget, up from $4M to $8M. Brokers & advocates say the program smooths out the leasing & opening processes for landlords & tenants alike.

The city is allocating an additional $4M in funding to an initiative helping commercial tenants negotiate leases, bringing the total annual funding to $8M.
