How much is enough?

It’s a simple question, but one a lot of business owners never stop to answer.

Because there is always another number to hit.

Another revenue goal. Another level of growth. Another reason to believe that the next milestone will finally make you feel like you’ve made it.

But if you don’t know what you’re actually building toward, it’s very easy to keep chasing more without ever feeling like you have enough.

Defining enough gives you something to measure your decisions against.

Finance advice usually sounds like this: Decide what the money is for. Justify the raise. Have a plan for every extra dollar.

Though that advice misses something important.

You’re allowed to want more simply because you want more. You don’t have to justify it.

And yet, wanting more and feeling comfortable receiving more are two different things.

Sometimes the money arrives and something inside you tightens. You give it away. Shrink the number. Find a reason it can’t stay.

Receiving is a skill. And it can be practiced before the money ever shows up.

When more money comes, are you ready to receive it?

We are often so much more generous with other people than we are with ourselves.

We’d encourage a friend to celebrate the win.
Take the trip.
Enjoy the thing they’ve worked hard for.

But when it comes to our own money, we create rules that keep us waiting for “someday.”

The goal of prosperity isn’t just reaching a certain number, it’s creating a relationship with money that allows you to enjoy the life you’re building along the way.
