AI has changed the landscape of earned media, but it hasn't changed the importance of preparation.

Over the last couple of months, we have been using our Foundry decision support to model the governor runoff race.

In early June, it projected the results of State Question 832 to within 0.04%

It saw the shift in sentiment that happened August 4th and 5th after the Republican Runoff Debate.

Two days ago it projected the final results to within 0.4%.

You operate in a landscape where 88% of executives require rapid insights to do their jobs (Salesforce State of Data & Analytics, 2nd Edition).

You are pressured to validate instinct with evidence, yet the sheer volume of information creates immediate overwhelm. The critical challenge is separating the static from the actual signal.

Turning to AI to filter this noise introduces new complications, from unstructured data to algorithmic hallucinations. Ingesting massive amounts of irrelevant data does not necessarily improve your choices. It simply trades swift decision-making for inaccurate ex*****on.

Hart Brown, President of AI and Transformation at Saxum, defines what disciplined, data-driven decisions look like today.

“Leveraging AI in decision-making requires a level of expertise in both AI and traditional decision-making strategies. It’s about knowing how to leverage AI beyond asking one model one question. It’s about the quality of the data you’ve got connected to your tools. It’s about knowing the right question to ask. Pressure testing a strategy, or concept, or idea, can be done using the technology in the right way to reduce uncertainty. This can help every leader increase the longevity of their organization.”

Deploying AI requires absolute clarity on the data you need and how systems ingest it.

Data Ops Specialist Alan Joyal bridges this gap, connecting critical quantitative and qualitative data to intelligent tools that leaders use to make better decisions in complex environments.

We asked Alan to share some insights on where valuable data lives in 2026.

“In 2026, everyone has access to the same models. The value has moved entirely to the data only you have, and the processes you develop to use it. The most valuable data in any organization typically sits stored in some dusty corner of the cloud, but there’s also valuable data scattered across the systems you use every day, both quantitative and qualitative. With proper data management protocols, you can get that context flowing to the AI tools where business decisions actually get made.”

Here are 3 data points that Oklahoma organizations are considering when making decisions today.

1. 81% of Oklahoma business leaders plan to hire in the coming year, despite high economic uncertainty. Growth-oriented positioning.

2. Across the country, firms that invest in AI adoption are about 2x as likely to report year-over-year revenue growth than those who don’t, but 61% report a lack of in-house expertise as their top barrier to adoption.

3. 62% of Oklahoman organizations say that their workforce is the #1 decision constraint. Talent is competitive, and retention is challenging.

At Saxum, we see a perfect storm. Organizations know they need to modernize their technology and upskill their workforce, but they face an uphill battle: the talent they need is in short supply, and the ground to traverse is rocky.

That’s why Saxum has invested in AI governance expertise. We see the rapidly shifting environment enabled by advancements in AI, and we’re dedicated to helping our client partners navigate the changing landscape as we have for over two decades here in Oklahoma.

Scientific polling has been used to predict election results since 1936, when Gallup correctly predicted Franklin D. Roosevelt's win over Alf Landon.

But how has AI changed the way we model future human behavior?

At Saxum, to help our clients optimize their messages for the Oklahoma market, we created Foundry DST, a decision support tool that models support and resistance for a message, position, decision, or…candidate.

When sharing an early look at the tool with Oklahoman , they decided to put it to the test and leveraged it to model the outcomes for the Republican primaries and State Question 832 in June.

What they found? Foundry nailed 2 out of 3 of the major races and modeled the results of the state question to within 0.04% of the final results.

Foundry provides powerful anticipatory intelligence for organizations that face consequential messaging moments every day. In June, it modeled its first election; what can it do for you?

Growth doesn't always come from reaching more people. Sometimes it comes from reaching the right people.

For Oklahoma Farm Bureau Insurance, the challenge wasn't simply driving demand, it was driving demand for the one line of business positioned for growth, without creating pressure elsewhere.

Together, we used research, audience strategy, disciplined creative, and AI-enabled production workflows to build a campaign focused on precision over volume.

The results over nine weeks:
• 86% lower cost per view
• 28% lower cost per click
• 15% increase in Meta-driven website engagement

A reminder that better strategy often means doing less, more intentionally.

Google's AI overview now reaches about 2.5 billion monthly users. According to a 2026 report from Clutch, about 65% of consumers use AI during their research.

What does this mean for organizations in Oklahoma?

For many, it means that AI is disrupting your brand perception, reducing trust, or causing prospects to pull away before they even make a call. AI search tries to give a balanced take, but it relies heavily on authoritative third-party citations and crawlability, so what it surfaces may not be what you expected.

With AI reputation management, organizations can make sure that searchers find genuine, useful information that accurately represents your business. Learn more - https://bit.ly/ai-reputation-management
