March is NAHB Designation Month which recognizes Certified Aging-in-Place Specialists.

Consulting with an aging-in-place specialist can save you time and money in your efforts to age in the location of your choice. It isn't uncommon for us to hear 'I never knew about that option' or 'I thought I'd end up in assisted living'.

Finding solutions to age in place on your own can be challenging.
Let someone with the right credentials make it easier.

March 3rd is Simplify Your Life day, but this is something we should put in place every day if we want to age in place.

Whether it's simplifying a medication routine, streamlining home maintenance, or just doing some decluttering, every little bit makes aging in place that much more possible.

Autonomy while aging remains important even with a diagnosis of dementia.

While aging in place may no longer be an option for some, the ability to maintain some autonomy remains crucial and a new living community for those with dementia aims to preserve this.
Modeled after what has been done in other countries, a Wisconsin community is developing a dementia village.

The residential community is underway in Wisconsin, and will resemble a neighborhood, not a nursing home

A big part of being able to age in place is staying healthy. Vaccinations are a critical component of maintaining your health.

Now is the time for vaccinations. Covid and Flu vaccinations require annual boosters, but RSV is a 'one-and-done'.

For those in the 50+ age range, there are also vaccinations available for shingles and pneumonia.

Check with your doctor to see which vaccinations are recommended for you.
