Happy Halloween from all of us at National Sign Team!

Our signs glow in the dark all year long, but tonight they have some competition.

Have a safe, spooky night, and save us a few of the good candy bars.

Opening your first location in a new state? Ask your sign partner three things first:

- Who installs in that market, and how are they vetted?
- Has the permit office for that address been checked?
- Has someone surveyed the site yet?

If the answer to any of them is "we'll figure it out," plan for delays.

Your brand starts here.

Before a sign ever reaches the street, every letter gets cut, shaped and finished by hand. Returns bent to the curve of each character. Faces fitted. Every edge checked against the drawing.

Nobody sees those details from the sidewalk, and they're why a sign still looks right years after install day.

From the first site survey to the last crane lift, one project manager runs your whole sign program.

That's how we cover all 50 states: vetted, insured install partners coast to coast, permits checked for every address, and one person who knows the status of every location.

Four brands, four very different blade signs.

Burton's mountain logo against a brick pier. Alloy Personal Training hung under a covered walkway. Sugared + Bronzed right at the door. Brio on a scroll bracket that suits the building.

Each one does the same job: it tells people on the sidewalk which door is yours, from either direction.

Every detail matters, so here are a few of them.

Aluminum returns shaped by hand. LEDs wired into every letter. Faces fitted, then white letters and red letters lined up on the bench before anything leaves the shop.

Your brand. Our team. Nationwide.

The bench is half the job. The other half is getting letters like these onto the right buildings, in the right order, on your dates. New on the blog: what signage project management actually looks like.

A forty-location rollout. How many people should you have to call to find out where it stands?

One.

Every National Sign Team program gets one named project manager for the whole rollout, not a different contact in every market. One person who knows which sites are permitted, which are in fabrication, and which just hit a landlord objection.

So when something goes sideways in one city, you are not explaining your own program to someone new. You are talking to the person who already knows it.

Please welcome Stephen Murphy to National Sign Team.

Stephen is a Graphic Designer with a background in branding, signage and environmental design, and a BFA in Graphic Design from SUNY Buffalo State University. He brings a fresh perspective, strong attention to detail and a creative approach to every project.

What he enjoys most is the interactive side of design, creating work people can experience inside a space while making sure it still looks good and is built to last. That last part matters more than it sounds. A sign has to survive weather, code and ten years on a wall, and designing for all of that at once is its own skill.

Originally from Western New York, Stephen recently moved to Florida with his wife and their goldendoodle, Milo. Outside of work you'll find him running, exploring somewhere new, out in nature, or by the water.

Welcome aboard, Stephen.
