In 1991, Eberle was seeking additional space for the red wine program and decided to go underground. Today there are 16,000 square feet of underground caves located below the winery create. This is the perfect place to age every bottle of wine we make. The Eberle Winery Tasting Room is open seven days a week - offering complimentary wine tasting, cave tours and spectacular views of our vineyard!

Meet the man behind the magic✨🍷

Chris Eberle has been our Head W**emaker at Eberle W**ery since 2015-and no, he is not related to Gary Eberle. What brought them together? A shared love for the Central Coast and the incredible fruit it produces.

A California native with roots across the state, Chris earned his Ag Business degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and a diploma in enology from Washington State University before starting here as an assistant w**emaker in 2006. By 2009, his journey took him around the world
-25 vintages across South Africa, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, and France. From running 200+ experiments in Germany to meeting his wife Tessa in Australia, every step shaped the w**emaker he is today.

When he returned to Paso Robles in 2015, it felt like coming home.

Chris thrives on the challenges of our dynamic climate, crafting w**es that are balanced, expressive, and true to varietal. Under his leadership, Eberle has seen a record number of award-winning w**es-proof that passion, experience, and a global perspective make all the difference.

His philosophy? Balance is everything-from the color in your glass to the final sip.
When he's not in the cellar, you'll find him with his wife Tessa, their kids Margot & Hugo, and their English Lab Ginger!

The future is bright, and Chris is leading the way for Eberle.🍇

Gary Eberle and Tobin James took the stage with KRUSH 92.5 at the California Mid-State Fair to share stories from Paso Robles’ early w**e days, their unique w**emaking styles, decades of friendship, and, of course, plenty of classic Gary & Toby humor. 🍷🎙️

These two have been friends since the 1980s, first working together at Estrella River W**ery before Gary brought Toby over to Eberle. It was a fun trip down memory lane filled with laughs, history, and the passion that helped shape Paso Robles into the w**e region it is today.

We loved every minute of it and can’t wait to do it again. Cheers to great friends, great stories, and great w**e! 🍇

The long friendship between these two Paso Robles W**e Country pioneers began at Estrella River W**ery in the 1980s. When Gary left Estrella W**ery to start Eberle W**ery he took Toby with him and together they helped build Eberle W**ery. They will be talking all things Paso Robles W**e together at The Krush Radio Broadcast booth from 4:00-6:00 pm and on the Mission Square Stage from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm.✨
