Not many folks know that this space was originally supposed to be my art studio and occasionally show of works that I have created. 1 1st Friday show and many many folks saying this is a vibe we need more, and look at us now. The Lab has hosted some dope art shows. I say art because everything that showcases here is art. Toys, canvas, prints, fashion(soon lol) are all created as art. They all come from a creatives mind. They all represent something. And I love being a part of it. This is an artist space created by an artist, ran by folks that love art and create art in their own way! THANK YOU to everyone that has graced us with your presence. You have either showed here, or just showed up to support and that means a lot to me! The Lab is not a gallery. It’s not a Store. Today this happened! My first born Sun graduated NYFA today. When I say I’m so proud of Mekhi. J. Toussaint that is an understatement. There are trials and tribulations that we all have in our journeys and this dude took every one of them in stride. I know his tribe of angels are smiling down on him and cheering up in heaven. Congratulations my sun. The world is yours. Pour your heart into your creations and the world will feel what you intended to convey. Pops has your back forever. Keep killing it my sun. I love you beyond words.

You would have been a young 74 today. Asking J where we are going for vacation. Or let’s go to that restaurant I like. You know the one with the dish I like. No mommy you like a ton of resultants. 😂. Happy heavenly birthday Juliette. We love and miss you so much. It’s been 4 years but still feels like yesterday that I held your hands as you walked with the angels. Your tribe is thriving in honor of you. I try every day to continue being Kind! And I will try everyday till my last. Continue to Smile in peace my beautiful mommy. ❤️❤️❤️

There are days that I don’t know if I am doing the right things or making a difference. Last night on stream, I experienced love from a community that I fell in love with a few years ago. I don’t do things for acknowledgment I do them because they just feel right. Hearing folks that I made genuine connections with, acknowledge that they see and feel what I’m doing, just makes me more passionate about my mission. Thank you for putting it together.
