No team, no blueprint, no one to hand the hard parts to. And look at it now.

Ashli’s been with us since 2023 as a Method Systems Client. She was already a total whiz in Asana, but knew it could do more for her. So she found me & we got to work.

More than having the systems.. she does the SMARTEST thing: she comes back for tweaks whenever her business shifts or she has a new idea.

This year she’s streamlined so cleanly that she’s running solo. So the flows we’d built around her previous local Assistant needed to change.

We brought everything down to what one sharp woman needs to run clean on her own, and added a few more white glove client-care steps to make her Clients feel extra supported.

Here’s the kicker: she’s getting married in less than a month, she’s mid home renovation, she’s a mom, content creator, AND running a real estate business.

Life is fully happening. And because her systems carry the load, she gets to actually live it. Plan the wedding. Do the reno. Garden on a random Tuesday instead of being chained to her laptop all while her clients get the best care & nothing falls apart.. while she lives a full life.

That’s not a nice-to-have. That’s the entire reason we do this. 🌹

One last reflection as we close out our “birthday” month... 9 years of Mind the Method. 🥹
.And a nostalgic flashback pic to me in action, running things since childhood, like an eldest daughter always does. 💃🏼

MTM started as one woman... post-divorce and cross-country move, rebuilding my life with two kids, a laptop, a deep background in Admin, and a whole lot of ‘I’ll figure it out’ energy.

What began as a solo freelance gig grew so fast, and the vision grew with it.

First I wanted to flip the traditional virtual assistant model (wildly broken, and so reactive) and support women business owners the way they actually needed.

As it outgrew my capacity I set out to build a stable, enjoyable workplace for business & support-minded women like me... a career without missing our kids or our own lives while we bring our Client’s relief & their visions to life.

Nine years later it’s a team of brilliant women all over the country, the trusted support to founders who were drowning in their own success, and now get to feel that real relief of a partner, a Manager, running the show so our Client’s enjoy their life & their business again.

The unexpected extra bonus along the way? A thriving tech & automations agency, with an app in the works because I saw another problem needing fixing and built the solution for that too. I can’t help it. 💁🏼‍♀️

Every client who trusted us along the way, referred a friend, left a review, built this with us.

What a legend. Dolly Parton wasn’t just an icon, a firecracker, and a muse.. she was a truly good human.

We have an extra sweet attachment to her in my little family too.

When my kids were little, we briefly lived in Nashville, far from family. My 2-year-old son started getting books in the mail every month through Dolly’s Imagination Library. With our family sending care packages and photos often, and Dolly’s big photo on the back of each package, he naturally assumed she was family and spent months excitedly checking the mailbox for gifts from “Grandma Dolly.”

Later that year at the grocery store, the kids spotted her face on cake mix boxes and went wild that our “Gramma Dolly” made cake & icing, too 😆

My son is about to be 13 and my daughter 19, but to this day, every time we walk down the baking aisle or see her name, we laugh about our sweet Gramma Dolly. She built a legacy of heart and generosity, and she’ll always have a special place in our home.

Rest in peace & all of your feisty glory, Gramma Dolly 🫶🏼

Somewhere we all got sold the idea that the woman winning is the one doing the absolute most... available 24/7, in every email reply, making every decision, cooling every fire, running on fumes and sacrificing her life, her joy, her life-force in service of the business.

But now we can see she’s not the one thriving.

The one thriving finally let herself be supported.. both tangibly & with the right tools in place.

She’s not in every detail anymore.

She’s at dinner, phone face-down, while it all keeps running without her.

That’s what being properly resourced like the CEO you already are looks like.

Systems + Support is the recipe that gives us that room.. to live, to rest, to play, and not be an after thought in our business.

We are, first and always, a company built by women, for women.

But once in a blue moon a truly exceptional gentleman is allowed past the gates.
