I’ve been on my soapbox for years saying we don’t have to work like this, and I know you know it too.

I went out on a limb 3 years ago and put that idea into action with a “DND day”.

Mine is Monday. One day a week. No non-urgent client calls. No pulls on me.

Just prep for the week, planning for the business, and breathing room.

Your clients aren’t getting worse service when you offer your availability (protecting certain times for yourself and the business) instead of living at the mercy of theirs.

They’re getting a business owner who isn’t running on fumes, and who stays a step ahead because she built that into her business.

If a whole day feels impossible, start with one protected morning and grow it.
