Interesting study on AI in hiring that employers and candidates alike should be aware of (link to study in comments).

It found that hiring algorithms favored candidates who used AI to write their resumes. For example, programs that integrate ChatGPT-40 prioritized ChatGPT-40-generated resumes 97% of the time.

This hiring practice presents some real issues. Employers are likely:
> unknowingly filtering in generic AI-generated resumes
> favoring candidates that are younger and/or socioeconomically advantaged enough to be comfortable with the technology, or have paid subscriptions for AI platforms
> de-prioritizing the critical human element of culture fit that can surface in a human-written resume
> neglecting otherwise valuable candidates because they wrote their resumes

So, it’s worth thinking about -
For job-seekers, try running your resume through an AI program before you apply for your next job if you’re not getting interviews.

For employers, consider that you may not be finding the right people - just the ones that fit the model.

PSA on obviously AI-generated post captions - the algorithms are deprioritizing them (I’ve used dashes this way incorrectly since the 90’s, don’t come at me).

Even if they didn’t, they’re becoming less and less effective. Everyone is using Claude and ChatGPT, and everyone “sounds” the same.

We’re just scrolling past all the mind-numbing sameness.

Post after post is a short essay on the lesson learned, uses the rule of threes, etc, etc. For love of Sweet Jesus, give me some trashy language and a typo now and again.

AI is invaluable, but so is your personality. A robot can’t replace you or serve up genuine human connection on your behalf. Use it and then put it into your own words. We miss you. 💜

Many high-performing women get stuck - they're capable and competent, but they mistakenly believe the next level requires more effort and energy. And so they keep pushing the boulder uphill. Carrying too much, making too many decisions, and staying aligned with what they've built instead of what they want.

But really, they need a different way of leading, deciding, and positioning themselves to get results. That’s the work we do at ICONIC, our May retreat in Maui. High-level conversations with high-caliber women leaders. Doors are closing, learn more now.

There was a period in my business where I believed strong leadership meant staying close to everything (and I mean, everything). I attended every meeting, wanted to understand each decision made after delegating to my team, and felt like I had to hang on to every detail.

Over time, I saw the unintended consequence. We could only move as quickly as I could respond. What I thought of as quality control became a bottleneck, and the mental load took its toll.

It all changed when I began designing structure instead of controlling how everything was done. Clear roles, defined authority, and systems built trust. And delegating outcomes (not tasks!) to a competent team meant they were no longer waiting on me.

These adjustments did more for our sustainable growth than investing more time and effort into my business. Where could structure and clear boundaries help you grow?

We enjoyed a gorgeous spring morning, mimosas and brunch. We made mini vision boards, learned about aromatherapy, and left notes of gratitude on The Gratitude Tree. The morning was a reminder that we will continue to make progress, cultivate inner peace, and lift one another regardless of political, economic, and social circumstances.

Many thanks to all those who made the day possible -
