WHAT A PARTY! We were thrilled to join thousands of Portlanders in celebrating the Burnside Bridge's 100th birthday. From sponsors to speeches – balloons to boats – large-scale displays to tiny legos – there were myriad details to prepare, and it was all beautiful in the end.

It was a pleasure supporting the amazing Multnomah County, Oregon – Sarah Hurwitz, Matt Studer, and Megan Neill, and working in collaboration with Christina Fuller and Jessie Smith at Fuller Events (), and Greg Cazemier with David Evans and Associates, Inc. JLA's Brandy Steffen, Franziska Elliott and Tuyen Ta will be looking forward to a summer break. (Or maybe just a weekend nap.)

JLA's taking our video and photo storytelling to new heights with FAA-certified drone services! We're bringing new angles to documenting public projects across the northwest.

Drone videography and photography is an effective way to show project context and construction progress, including for sites that don't have public access or that cover a large geographic scale.

We've frequently used drone footage within our videos, but offering drone service in-house makes it affordable and accessible for a wide range of our projects and clients.

We're so pleased to have been able to provide this service for City of Bend, City of Portland, OR, Portland Parks & Recreation, Portland General Electric, and Multnomah County,.

Our team had so much fun at Douglas supporting ’s SE Stark & Washington Street Safety Project this past weekend at the Lunar Year Celebration. This was a great event with students, families, and faculty alike celebrating Lunar New Year with vibrant performances, food, and cultural traditions. It was a wonderful opportunity to share project information and connect with the DDHS community.

🛹 Rad event + new service announcement! 🛹 JLA has the privilege of supporting Portland Parks & Rec and DAO Architecture on an exciting public event for the Steel Bridge Skate Park. Join on Sunday to see the designs and participate in activities, including an amazing raffle supported by local businesses! JLA’s Sam Beresky captured drone footage of the site to include in a new project video. It’s his first project working with the drone after recently gaining FAA certification. We look forward to offering this service on more projects coming up.

Skinny jeans and crop tops are in, Tilikum Crossing and the MAX Orange line have recently opened, Portland-based rapper amine released his first hit single “Caroline,” the Portland Thorns just won their first NWSL Shield Award, and the Portland Pickles played their first ever season. - Reynolds School District Bond Projects: 3 new elementary schools were underway!
-Portland’s Off-Road Cycling Plan: Portland’s first official plan that considered off-road cycling facilities. Bureau of Planning and Sustainability
-Longview Drinking Water Improvement Study: the community considered more than 50 different options to improve local drinking water. City of Longview
-Willamette Falls Riverwalk Design: 1000’s of people participated in meetings around the region. Metro
- The new Sellwood Bridge: opened to traffic! JLA worked with Multnomah County, Oregon on this project for 10+ years!
-Sewer Smart Public Communications Campaign: Clark Regional Wastewater District and JLA were recognized with an American Water Works Association award.
- Newberg Dundee Bypass: it wasn’t open yet, but construction was well underway! Oregon Department of Transportation
- Washington Park Reservoirs: Portland Water Bureau and JLA were recognized with an IAP2 Cascade Chapter Best Practices award for the design process. This will open to the public in 2026!
- The Lake Oswego Tigard Water Partnership: A historic moment – the pipeline that stretches over 10.5 miles from the Clackamas River to Tigard is complete. City of Lake Oswego, City of Tigard
