A neighborhood collaboration celebrating art, jazz, and our community! 🎨🎷

We teamed up with Montavilla Jazz, North Pole Studio, and artist Annie Rose Macer to create these commemorative bandanas for this year’s Montavilla Jazz Festival, happening September 4-6 across East Portland.

The bandanas feature Annie’s signature paper quilt collages and each purchase during the festival directly supports both the artist and North Pole Studio’s scholarship fund for adults with autism and I/DD.

Catch some jazz across our neighborhood and grab a bandana next week! You can purchase tickets to the shows through Montavilla Jazz 🎶

Last week we celebrated Rosita🌟 final day at PGF before she embarked on her big move ~ returning home to Chile!

Now that she’s gone, let’s take a look at where she’s been…at PGF!

Four years ago, this superstar human walked into PGF and quickly became a force of creative production magic. As our Creative Developer she put her unique stamp of design intuition, technical knowledge, resourcefulness, and production savvy on some seriously amazing projects.

She developed, pototyped, fabricated, and managed the production for some iconic ones over the years:

⛺️ Countless custom tents and retail fixtures for The North Face

And she does it all with style and grace. Her John Fluevog Shoes ‘s 👠 will be hard to fill, but this joyful and tearful goodbye leaves the door open for new and exciting talent and opportunities. The spirit of creativity inside PGF continues through our incredible community of artists, fabricators, makers, designers, and problem solvers who continue to bring big ideas to life every day! Shout out shout out!!

Join us on July 19th at the Portland Art Museum for a screening of Safe (1995), guest programmed by Britt Howard, founder of Portland Garment Factory and artist behind Studio Howard , as part of PAM CUT // Center for an Untold Tomorrow ‘s Pretty, Witty, and Gay film series in dialogue with the David Hockney exhibition.

Todd Haynes’ cult classic follows Julianna Moore in her first starring role as a woman navigating a mysterious illness within the pristine landscape of 90s suburbia. Visually striking and beautifully unsettling, the film explores the hidden tensions beneath carefully manicured worlds.
