The mission of the Purcellville Volunteer Fire Company (PVFC) is to provide fire protection and emergency services to the citizens of Purcellville and surrounding communities. PVFC was established in 1923 after the Town of Purcellville endured a series of disastrous fires, the first in 1900 and then two more in 1914, which virtually wiped out the business district, depriving the Town of much of it

s earliest architectural heritage. PVFC is a nonprofit organization established to provide fire and emergency services, and we currently operate as a combination organization within the Loudoun County Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Management system with volunteer members and career firefighters. Both men and women, between the ages of 16 and 60, staff our trucks, provide administrative support, and offer a variety of emergency services to the community. PVFC relies on donations and volunteer service to continue to provide services to our community.

Today we remember Captain Dannie Wilson, who passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025 ( 1 year ago today ) after a courageous battle with cancer. Captain Wilson served as the Captain and Station Commander at Fire Station 4 (Round Hill) and began as a Volunteer with the Sterling Volunteer Fire Company, serving for over 25 years in the system.
We honor his service and will never forget his sacrifice and the sacrifice of his family.
Rest easy, my brother.

Today, our thoughts go to one of our past Chiefs Buddy Colby , it's a hard day remembering back 7 yrs ago when we all lost a Chief and great friend way to early. You are truly missed my brother. "Until we meet again"

Loudoun United FC is hosting their annual “ Hometown Heroes” Game at Segra Field in Leesburg on Saturday August 8, 2026, at 7:00 pm. Loudoun United will be presenting the “Hometown Hero of the Year” Award at halftime. Loudoun United created the Hometown Heroes award in 2024 in memory of Firefighter Trevor Brown and his service to our community. This award was established to recognize local first responders, military members, and healthcare workers for their exceptional service and dedication. Today WORKING FIRE in Round Hill.

PE604 was on scene of a 2 story single family home in the 17000 blk Creekside Green Pl. with fire showing on side Charlie and fire through the roof.

Hard day to be a Firefighter in the heat. Good Job Guys.

Battalion Chief 602 had command a RIT Task Force and 2nd alarm have been requested.

Rescue Engine 602 and Tower 602 first at a house fire in the 17600 Block of Tedler Circle in Round Hill last week!

As the units pulled on scene, a 2 story single family home with fire showing from the garage and smoke from the eaves was found.

Great job by everyone!
