13 years ago today, at the then, Salerno W**ery on Hwy 67, we participated in our very first harvest. It was blazing hot, and the vines were like bushes. We saw our first crush/de-stem and learned what a refractometer was.

A whole lot has happened in 13 years. We guess you could say, the seed (or first vine) was planted. The w**e industry in Ramona, was just getting started. We bought one table grape vine at Albertsons, (when it was located at the current Stater Bros location), went to a garden club meeting on learning how to grow grapevines, then purchased our second table grapevine. They grew quickly to become a canopy for our patio cover at our previous home. 2 vines led 25 Sangiovese vines planted in our backyard.

It was during our Sunday drives to the Santa Ysabel Mission every Sunday that sparked an interest of buying a lot and pursuing our interest in the Viticulture world. We remember driving down Creek Hollow Dr. (shortly after the 2007 fires blew through), saying Creek Hollow would be a good name for a w**ery. 10 years later we purchased our lot and now have 1100 vines including 6 varietals.

Our w**ery, Creek Hollow Vineyards, located at 25104 Creek Hollow Dr., recently opened in August 2026. Please come and visit, sit, relax, and enjoy a taste of Ramona and our estate grown w**es.

We’re almost there!! It’s been one day at a time, here at Creek Hollow Vineyards. Granted, progress has been very slow but we have almost conquered our challenge. Tim has ALWAYS been one for a challenge and this is one has tested that challenge in every way. When we bought this property in 2017, it had 550 vines and an oak tree. We had zero plans of opening a w**ery. One morning while harvesting, Jennifer Anderson, from Pamo W**ery, asked us if we were going to open a w**ery. At the same time, Tim said yes, I said no🙅‍♀️ There really was something special about this property that said w**ery! The seed was planted, bringing us to where we are today. Since purchasing our lot, Tim has worked relentlessly. First, was the structure design and build out of our home, followed by crazy amounts of tough labor in landscaping, rock work, stair building, block wall building, the addition of 550 more vines, the rescuing of our windmill from Tim’s dads property in AZ that was a mangled piece of metal, the build out of our ag building, later to be redesigned as our commercial w**ery and tasting room. I was quickly learning the viticulture trade. Maintenance of grapevines, pruning and what it takes to grow a healthy cluster of grapes, in hopes of producing a w**e desired by many. Additionally, we could not have done this without the assistance of fellow w**eries, many friends, who have always been there to assist whenever they could, and all of the knowledge we have gathered from RVVA! Whenever there was a question, they had an answer! We can’t thank all of you enough! We look forward to the day we open our doors to greet you with a glass of w**e. Stay tuned!!

The 2025 RVVA W**e Competition Awards Banquet, is history. Assisted by w**emaker, Susanne Sapier, we captured a gold medal for our 2021 Petit Verdot and a bronze medal for our 2022 Cab Franc. Many Ramona w**eries were awarded with medals for a job well done. Cheers!!
