Thought I’d share a fairly monumental moment (pun intended) on a project we did in less then 2 weeks with 4 people. Our work is currently at the National Mall in front of the Lincoln Memorial! It’ll be up for a day (then moved and then hopefully, donated to a local animal shelter in DC as they are interested in taking them!) It was for a marketing company but long story short for Presidents’ Day we made large faux bronze portraits of past presidents dogs. Bo Obama, Pushinka Kennedy (who was the daughter of one of the Soviet dogs that went to space and given to Kennedy) and Fido Lincoln who we didn’t realize was also assassinated but now sits in front of his past owner.

This was just a fun project with great people to work with. A special thanks to Matt and Margaret Rolicki (sculptor for GWAR!) for jumping on this project with Josh and I. We love the highly skilled people we get to work alongside with. Sculpting by yourself is fun, sculpting with others is better.

Full fabrication Process:
-Modify bought 3D models
- CNC double sided foam
- Hand carve
- Hand sculpt
- Resin
- More sculpting and carving for details
- Resin
- Primer, base coat and 2 colors of rubnbuff for that lived in bronze look.

Let me know if you have any questions and I will gladly answer to the best of my ability. Thanks for your time ❤️

Things can be replaced, human lives can not.

Covid-19 has disrupted our business and almost every other business in our community. We are trying to help where we can. Today we helped Brok Décor International to board up Saison Market here in Richmond. Although, companies are taking an active approach to help protect their business, it is also to be understood that things can be replaced. Human lives, George Floyd's life and other black lives taken by police brutality and white supremacy can not be brought back. Period.

The Richmond Community Bail Fund exists to restore the presumption of innocence to defendants so they don't lose their jobs, families and critical services while also reducing the financial burden on our community of detaining citizens prior to their day in court.

If any of you would like to donate to help get face shields to our healthcare workers in Richmond, here is a link to donate! We have been volunteering and 3D printing face shield brims as much as we can to donate. The monetary donations (and people donating there filament) have helped us and other makers to keep printing. This is a great way to join the cause. Thanks!

UPDATE/ ANNOUNCEMENT: I hope you are all doing well, staying at home if you can, washing your hands and not touching your face! We are donating all the N95 masks we have left and volunteering our time/ materials to 3D printing face shields and save-grabbers (so you don't need to touch a door to open it) for our healthcare workers on the front lines. Please join RVA Makers Forum (one of our owners Christina is on the board of directors for this amazing non-profit!) / RVA 3D Printers & Hackers (COVID-19 Response Squad) and RVA masks 4 health to keep up with what our local community of makers in Richmond are doing! If you are already working on sewing masks, 3d printing etc please use on Instagram there are so many amazing people doing great things and this is a great way to show it.

Stay safe, stay indoors if you can, wash your hands, don't touch your face, support small restaurants and their efforts to do take-out if you can, thank a healthcare worker when you see one, preferably from 6 ft, be nice to ALL of the essential workers and essential workers in grocery stores keeping all our families fed and butts clean. Hang in there ya'll.
