Meet our 2026 Brave Anyway Summit ticket honorees. 💜💜

We received many incredible nominations—each one beautiful, heartfelt, and full of stories of bravery in every form imaginable. Choosing just two wasn't easy, but two names kept rising to the top: Janelle Haas and Courtney Studenski.

What stood out about Janelle wasn't just that she broke barriers, first as St. Cloud Police Department's female K9 handler, later as the force behind the department's first-ever therapy K9—it was why she did it. She turned her own hardest chapters into a lifelong mission to protect and mentor kids who need exactly what she once needed herself.

What stood out about Courtney was her refusal to let hard circumstances define her. She stepped into caregiving at 20 years old, walked through her husband's cancer diagnosis without losing herself, and turned that experience into work at a nonprofit built to help others do the same.

Two very different stories. One shared thread: bravery isn't the absence of fear, but it's showing up anyway.

Congratulations, Janelle and Courtney. We can't wait to celebrate you.
