Sports tournament season means one thing: nothing is predictable.

“Are you free on Saturday?”

Maybe. Depends on how we do on Friday.

“What do you mean you don’t know if you can meet up in two weeks? Don’t they give you the schedule ahead of time?”

Ah, you must be new here.

Life as a sports dad, and I wouldn’t change a thing. Well… maybe the 8:00 a.m. Saturday game. 😅⚾

We must celebrate the small victories in life! It also meant I didn’t have to tell the cashier an unnecessary story about why I forgot my bags…

I absolutely love my wife and kids, but there was definitely a difference flying without my crew! ✈️ Arrived well over an hour early, didn’t have to run to my gate, and was able to eat my food at a regular pace (instead of like I was on Nathan’s Hotdog Eating Contest).

My heart goes out to Xavier Taylor and his family. As a baseball dad and coach to my 8- and 12-year-old boys, this story brought me to tears. It’s a powerful reminder of what truly matters in life and to never take a single day for granted. ❤️⚾

As a youth coach for over half of my life, nothing warms my heart seeing my oldest find that same passion. He’s a Lifer for a reason, and I couldn’t be prouder!❤️⚾️
