rative activities, including the promotion of product safety engineering for the benefit of humanity. The IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society addresses safety engineering for equipment and devices used in the scientific, engineering, industrial, commercial and residential arenas. It allows engineers and other technical professionals an opportunity to discuss and disseminate technical information, to enhance professional skills, and to provide outreach to engineers, students and others with an interest in the field. Speaker Bio

Jeff Dennis is a partner with Orange County based law firm, Newmeyer & Dillion. As the head of the firm’s Privacy & Data Security group, Jeff works with his team to advise clients on all levels of cyber related issues, including (1) the legal dispute implications of privacy & data security, (2) adopting proactive measures to prevent and neutralize threats, and (3) introducing contractual and insurance opportunities to lessen their risk.

Jeff is a certified graduate of HarvardX’s Cybersecurity Risk Management program, and a member of UCI’s Cybersecurity Policy & Research Institute’s Executive Committee, of which the firm is also a founding member. Passionate about advocating about the cyber landscape and how businesses can take action, Jeff is an active speaker on these issues, and a reoccurring resource to media outlets like Legal Tech News, Wall Street Journal’s Pro Cybersecurity, Thomson Reuters, and Construction Executive.
