Today we continue our mini series in [Internal Brand] by taking a look at some questions to consider when creating your positioning statement. But what is positioning exactly?

[Brand Positioning] - A statement that describes your target market and provides a picture of how you’d like your brand to be perceived by them.

The first step is to describe your [Target Market]. If you recall our post about [Market Research], you know that developing a [Buyer Persona] is a great way to do this.

Next is analyzing your competition aka [Competitive Analysis]. Often times we tend to focus on what our competition is doing right in order to replicate it, but great positioning takes advantage of the missed opportunities of your competition.

Lastly, combine everything you’ve learned in your research and create a [Positioning Statement] that clearly communicates who you serve and why your experience is second to none.
